A really comfortable hotel in a lovely village well placed for exploring North Yorkshire. The staff were all excellent, the food was superb and the bed was very comfortable. It’s not super modern as it’s in an old building but this makes it cosy and very comfortable. The outdoor pool is heated so lovely for a dip before breakfast.

Very comfortable with an excellent spa and pool. Breakfast is amazing. We regularly book here as a base for runs on the North York Moors and it works brilliantly. The staff were very helpful and went out of their way to make everything work for early start.

Yes we have really enjoyed our stay for the 3 nights. Our room was great and the day to day cleanliness by the room staff was first class. We want to come here again in the next month. Breakfast was good we only ate in the hotel for one evening meal which put us off, we had fish pie and was not the best choice ,it lacked fish variety, very small in size and not value for money.

Loved the swimming pool, that’s the main reason I booked this hotel, however it was very warm, too warm to do much swimming. Our room was lovely and clean, if not a little dated. The breakfast was really good and the staff were excellent. We didn’t get round to using the spa, so we will be coming back. I would definitely recommend

The hotel was a welcoming oasis of comfort and luxury. The swimming pool was warm and enticing and the staff were very attentive. We hope to visit the hotel again. It is in a quiet location the centre of historic Helmsley and handy for the Yorkshire Moors.

The stay here was bought for us as a gift. It was such a thoughtful gift as we had 2 wonderful days / nights in the beautiful village of Helmsley. The heated pool was a real delight as was the use of the spa facilities.

Breakfast was a bit hit and miss depending on the chef on duty two days in a row couldn’t get porridge right despite it being returned. The hotel decor needs refurbishing. Our room was missing a glass divider on the balcony with raw edges showing of broken sections. Staff we met friendly and polite at all times.
