I had selected and paid higher price for a corner king studio hoping for a nice and comfortable stay, turns out this type of rooms are on the lower floor with extremely ugly view like construction and garbage site and next to a power pole and train rail, I have attached photo. Talked to the hotel and they switched us to a cheaper regular room on the higher floor with decent view ( half river and half building) without refund, we were only given ONE voucher for two for our entire stays of 4 nights. This is not the right compensation and in my opinion the hotel should have charged less for the corner king studio due to the ugly exterior corner.

Excellent staff and customer service

I liked to proximity to walkable areas, nice clean, bed comfortable. I was disappointed to learn the bottle of white wine offered over the phone for my birthday was not present. As well as the usual Fairmont slippers were not in the room. Hand cream was almost out and had to call for replacement. Overall no big issues, just little unexpected surprises added up together to make something worth mentioning.

I would stay here again in a heartbeat. My Wife and I loved the staff and experience. The festival in North van happens right outside, and it is a really great time.

My family of 5 stayed at the Sutton Place Hotel La Grande Residence suite in late July-Aug. we might be spoiled forever. The suite is spacious, like the size and layout of a 1BR apartment. We loved having a dining table w 4 chairs to eat, sit and relax. In addition, the sofa and chair ensure that everyone always has a seat. The kitchen with sizable fridge+freezer, and the microwave/oven lets us store, and reheat food. There’s even a stove with pots and pans, spatula if you want to cook. It’s a full kitchen with a large counter. There are multiple closets with ample storage space. The gym is a little bigger and with more equipment than most hotel gyms. The indoor pool is great you don’t have to worry about weather or sun screen. The hotel location is perfect for exploring Vancouver. It’s around the corner from Robson and 8 minute walk to train station. It’s walking distance to numerous touristy areas, and sites. We didn’t use a car the entire time. We look forward to staying here again in our next Vancouver visit. Thank you staff for the wonderful experience.
