Beautiful Adults-Only Escape with One Important Caveat
My partner Steve and I stayed at The Marmara Bodrum as an adults-only retreat overlooking Bodrum Bay and Halikarnassos, and in many ways it truly excels. The elevated location offers breathtaking views, the design is elegant and understated, and the overall atmosphere is calm, refined, and very grown-up.
The rooms are spacious, quiet inside, and extremely comfortable, and the service throughout the hotel is professional, warm, and discreet. The pool and common areas are peaceful and well curated, making it a wonderful place to unwind away from the bustle of Bodrum.
However, for a hotel positioned as adults-only and tranquil, smoking on balconies and loud behavior late in the evening significantly detract from the experience. Smoke travels easily between rooms, and noise carries far more than expected in what should be a serene environment.
This hotel would reach an exceptional standard if smoking were fully prohibited (including balconies) and balcony noise more actively managed.
Overall, a beautiful property with great potential — ideal for couples seeking calm, provided these issues are addressed."
"Fulya had the best customer service, she helped us with our itinerary, where to go and what to do, she went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. We will definitely be back. "
"The staff at the property were wonderful - especially the front desk reception team and the restaurant team. Being vegetarian, they took care of us so much - willing to make anything to accommodate dietary needs. The staff so knowledgeable in things to do around Bodrum and giving us helpful hints. "
"The location and views from our balcony were incredible! We made a tiny plumbing issue with our original room, but were moved next day to a much nicer one! The food, drinks, and entertainment in this All Inclusive were the average, but we would choose it again for the beautiful layout of the property, easy access to hotel's two private beaches and very friendly and helpful staff."
"This hotel was beyond filthy. The second I walked into the room, the stench hit me. The bathroom was revolting – mold all over the tiles, a disgusting shower, and a toilet that looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. It was so nasty I didn’t even want to touch anything.
For the money I spent, I expected at least a clean room, but instead I got this dump. I felt dirtier after staying here than before I checked in. They “changed” our room the next day, but guess what? It was just as filthy. Nothing improved.
On top of that, the staff was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. Zero customer service, zero care for guests.
This was hands down the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. Stay far, far away from this place. Total waste of money and a disgusting nightmare.
1* hotel!!!!"
"The Sianji Wellbeing Resort is a very nice hotel with superb swimming pools and gardens.
I had booked a Penthouse Suite with Sea View and it was very impressive for it’s spaciousness and furnishings, with two very spacious bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms, lounge and dining area and also a large terrace with superb views over the pool, gardens and the Aegean Sea.
My guest and I had a thoroughly enjoyable 4 night say but I wasn’t too impressed with the breakfast, and neither of the choice of food in the a-la-carte restaurant - although the staff we very polite, friendly and helpful.
There were a few snags/ irritations such as :-
I wasn’t able to open/close the blinds between the lounge and the terrace as the pull cords were tangled up.
The TV in one of the bedrooms wasn’t working.
The TV control for the TV in the lounge operated intermittently suggesting that the batteries needed changing - which was a request I’d made to the reception desk but it wasn’t fulfilled.
The terrace jacuzzi wasn’t working, and lastly the guest pamphlet stated that “the minibar refill is free once a day” - but despite asking - it was never refilled.
Despite the snags I would stay at this hotel again."
