"Basically 2 small restaurants in same building of the La’gent, but ramen was satisfying. Cafe located inside Shin Hakodate station but closes early, in fact everywhere closes early, unlike larger cities…so plan accordingly! Take note, no shower cap & scrubby towel, be sure to pack your own!"

"It’s hard to leave a negative review as the staff were all so friendly and helpful. “You get used to the smell” was our motto as you do slowly go nose blind to the overwhelming smell of stale old cigarettes. (You are still allowed to smoke in your room here) We may also all have splinal damage from sleeping on the floor in the “Japanese style beds” This whole town has a bit of a post apocalyptic feel when we visited in the winter as it’s quite run down. If you’re on a budget though it’s a good option if you have a car and don’t want to pay the crazy lodging prices at the nearby resorts. "

"Loved our stay at Spa Shiosai. We only stayed 1 night but I would definilty stay again in the future. We were snowboarding at Rusutsu and it was an easy drive. A bit further than other options but the price and Onsen were well worth it. It is a very quiet, clean, and relaxing hotel. Thanks for having us. "

"Our room was clean and comfortable and had a great view of Lake Toya. There was only a smoking room available to book but it did not smell too strongly of smoke. There is an onsen bath on the basement floor but we didn’t use it. The hotel was advertised as having shared bathrooms but we actually had our own private bathroom in our room, which was great! The location was super convenient- close to the bus station and the lake. I recommend this place! "

"Hotel was a bit dated but was clean. Room was big enough for three. But do note that there is no shower in the room so we had to use the public bathroom on level 1. View of lake from the room was amazing."
