Room was clean and comfortable. For the price it was really nice. Breakfast was excellent. It can get noisy at night, walls are thin, so we would have to have every door and window shut with the fan running to drown out the hallway noise. Be aware no a/c, and windows look out into other rooms so you mostly have to have them closed at all times. Location was great and overall convenient.

Excellent staff and location

The hotel is beautiful. The staff is great, the only issue is the fact we arrived when there was a teacher strike going on that caused many streets to be blocked off. So getting to the hotel was difficult. But in no means their fault. They did everything possible to assist in making our stay as comfortable as possible. Unfortunately we did not get to do many of the plans we had due to the strike, basically the only good thing out of or vacation was the hotel.

The Alest in Polanco was an outstanding stay. A small, elegant boutique hotel just steps from Masaryk, with some of the best dining and shopping in Mexico City literally a minute away. What truly sets this property apart is the personal attention. You are not one of thousands of guests; here everyone knows your name, and the experience feels private, warm, and exclusive, almost as if the hotel were your own home in Polanco. Beautiful design, elegance, great amenities, excellent dining, and exceptional service throughout. We also loved how safe and comfortable the area felt walking to and from Masaryk at any hour. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a luxury boutique experience in Mexico City.

It was a very nice boutique hotel that was in the heart of the Polanco area. Very close and walking distance to the Anthropological Museum, upscale shopping, and great food. We didn’t have any trouble using Ubers from the location. Nice service from the staff, and came with water to drink daily at no charge. The room was very cute and the bathroom was gorgeous. However, the we were located on the first floor and there were a few nights where there were rude quests that decided to walk in at 1-2 am in the morning loud as can be. ( think drunk loud) and I was upset that the hotel didn’t have signs or the courage to mention something to the guests that their behavior wasn’t acceptable. I’m happy people are having fun, but be respectful to other guests. The walls are very thin. The bathroom, although beautiful, was a slip hazard anytime you used the shower. The water sprays EVERYWHERE and you can easily slip. I had to cover the floor with towels all around just in case. The continental breakfast was basic, just fruit and a pastry. Overall, a 4 out of 5.
