Merton House
Very welcoming - very clean / comfortable bed - wore ear plugs as close to road so noise wasn’t a problem for me. Love the South Africa theme too
Our host was amazing! He served a wonderful classic English breakfast and pivoted to our breakfast whims each morning. He suggested places to eat and things to see while we were there and was interested and engaged in our experiences in Worthing. A wonderful travel experience that felt like home!
Owners are super friendly, helpful and flexible. A perfect place for my parents to stay when they came to visit! Thank you so much!

My one night stay
The room was more than adequate if dated in style. However, this did not affect me. I wanted a clean bed and shower/toilet and these were above standard. The timed cooked breakfast was just what I needed. Very good.
Guesthouse immaculate, spacious, quality furniture and bed.
We were made very welcome, warm and friendly atmosphere. Cooked breakfast very good and a choice of cereals.Convenient for sea and promenade, shops, , village and railway. Frequent bus service or 20 min walk to front.
Only stayed overnight but will be returning for a longer stay.
Felt very uncomfortable as only client and sign in window said no vacancy. Had to leave a night early as husband was taken ill. Got a very aggressive voice mail telling me there would be consequences for leaving early without paying. I rang to apologise and pay. He charged me £45 more than I was quoted even though I only stayed 1 night and had 1 breakfast. Do not recommend to anyone travelling alone.
Was contacted by owner on day to make sure we were okay and making sure arrival would be smooth. Owner was friendly, accommodating, helpful. Useful on site parking, in a good location. We were in a spacious front bedroom and there was a bit of road noise, as on a main road but quietened down later in the evening and slept well, with comfortable bed. Tea/coffee/biscuits facility well stocked and much appreciated. Scrummy breakfast.
Lovely friendly owner, great bed and breakfast. Good position for train, sightseeing, and ten minutes from Brighton.
Had a lovely room with comfortable bed, clean and well kept. A great bed and breakfast stay.
Room was exceptionally clean and a good size. A good welcome from Mark the owner, he made us feel very at home. The breakfast was great and, as we had to be out early in the mornings, Mark was super and made us a full English at a time that was suitable for us. Would definitely book again.
