Right on the Seafront

This hotel has definately gone down since it was taken over. Our evening meal was a ready meal cottage pie nothing home cooked. Price for this was not cheap neither were the bar drinks which we drank in semi-gloom as they did not seem to want to put the lights on! Family running it were friendly enough but I would not stay there again.

Needs some TLC

The Hotel only has a Tourist Board 2 Star rating not 3. It was in need of a lot of TLC. Advertised Car Park was an ally at the back of the Hotel which took at most 4 cars, I booked partly because of the Car Park as I am on crutches due to a broken leg. The advertised restaurant was not open and looked as if it hadn't been for a while. In the bedroom I found a beer bottle top and a £1 coin on the floor. The furniture was very tired and in need of a good polish. Apart from these gripes the breakfast was very good, promptly served and hot.

Cavendish in Worthing

They appera to be trying, staff are friendly enough but this is not a great hotel. Manager checked us in wearing tracksuit bottoms! Offered to carry our case which was nice and took us to our room. The room 1950's portable TV no light shade just one glaring light in the ceiling, no bedsie lights at all. Bed linen very clean but the floor had not been hoovered in ages, the carpet was filthy and had dog hairs all over. It does not take any effort to hoover a room. No toilet roll in the bathroom so I can only assume this room was not cleaned. Breakfast was very nice and the witress was friendly but she wore jeans, sleeveless tshirt and flip flops!!!
