"It was so peaceful and secluded, even though you are just 3 miles from downtown Nevada City. We loved the cabin and will absolutely be booking again. Comfy beds, kitchen is well stocked and the trees and stars cannot be bear! The hot tub was great."

Cozy semi-secluded property

"The cabin was spotless and absolutely wonderful—located in a charming neighborhood just minutes from downtown Nevada City. It was also a perfect base for visiting our favorite Yuba River swimming spots like Bridgeport and Oregon Creek, both about 30 minutes away. The hosts were incredibly trusting and provided clear, helpful instructions we could refer to during our stay. The hot tub was clean, and when paired with the enchanting grotto, created a magical nighttime atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!"

Sierra Storytelling Fun

"The night sky from the deck of the geodesic dome was absolutely spectacular, as were the views. The home was clean, thoughtfully appointed and was situated on an exceptional property. It was also a short drive from the Sierra Storytelling Festival, which made it even better. The only shortcoming is that there was only one full bed and the two others were a futon and a sofa bed. A twin bed in the loft would be a lovely addition. For 4 adults, it works fine."

"Mama Bear's cabin was the most charming and secluded getaway in what feels like your own, private woods. It is cozy with an old-time cabin quaintness, plus it's immaculately clean. We loved watching the deer from the deck with our coffees in the morning. Perfect for our family of 3 and our dog."
