Matteson’s Rental Cabins

Our three cabins are located just inside the Adirondack Park boundary line. Each cabin is 400 square feet with a full kitchen, full bathroom, and 2 queen beds. For summer fun, we are located close to many state lakes, rivers and ponds. In the fall the area is a hunting paradise with thousands of acres of public land locally. Winter time we are located directly on the snowmobile trail and within 15 minutes from cross country and downhill skiing trails.

A place to stay

We came up to go snowmobiling. Great to have the trails right there. Place was perfect for 2 of us to stay at for the weekend. Will definitely stay again.

Wonderful stay

This was such a wonderful place to go to after a long stressful week. I went with some friends and it was definitely a memorable weekend. Beautiful cabin, had everything I needed in the shop next door and more. The service was wonderful and I’m definitely coming back next year.

We bought homemade food from the market and it was delicious. Just wish we weren’t so close to the road and other cabins.

Woodgate Weekend

Very nice cabin in Woodgate. Clean and comfortable with all the essentials. The hosts were friendly and we enjoyed the convenience of their market with delicious food, bakery and produce. Great location right on 28 and just 20 minutes to Old Forge. Would definitely stay again next time we're in the area.

Matteson's rental cabins

Usually VRBO rentals provide coffee, sugar, oil, S&P, as basics. These were not provided at this location, although the host did provide additional sugar packs. The homemade bread and desserts are exceptional.

Woodgate

The cabin was great inside, it was very nice to stay inside it. The area where the cabin is located it was hard to navigate around. He is locating right next to a nursery. There's a lot of traffic in the area. Not enough room to park a truck and a boat.

Clean and Cozy

We stayed in Cabin 1 for a three night anniversary trip. The cabin was very clean, modern, and simple. Perfect for us! We had everything we needed. We've been staying in the Adirondacks for nearly 20 years, and I'd say its the best place we've stayed. Beats over priced hotels that aren't nearly as nice and none as clean! The hostess was also very nice and communication great. The only downside for us was it's right on the edge of the Adirondack park so we had to drive a ways to visit some of our favorite places. I highly recommend it if you are visiting Old Forge though. It's the perfect location outside of the busy village. Would definitely return for another trip!
