I did not feel safe. This did not look like the photos! They need remodeling. Simple paint can do the job. But everything looked dirty and broken down. You had people in the parking lot at all times blasting their music in the car. Uber rides take forever here.

Clean lobby and room and check in desk attendant allowed us to check in early which was great. However, outside galleries, stairs etc. are in horrible shape. Only remnants of safety strips on stairs remain and it was a “Where’s Waldo” event to find an ice maker. Pungent weed odor at stairwells so you could not avoid it. Busy weekend in Winston Salem so we were pleased to find a clean room but never again.

If you’re looking for a hotel that makes you question every life decision that led you there, this is the place. The moment we pulled up, we genuinely wondered if we had accidentally driven onto the set of a low-budget horror movie. The fence surrounding the property looked like a T-Rex from Jurassic Park had escaped, taken one look around, and decided to make a few renovations of its own. It was torn up, bent, and generally gave the impression that something large and angry had recently escaped. We were confident that if we walked inside the room, we would immediately start playing a fun new game called “Is That Blood or Nail Polish?” Spoiler alert: we never found out. We knew there would be questionable stains and suspicious looking spots everywhere. Not to mention whatever could have been possibly living in there. If you enjoy horror movies, abandoned buildings, and wondering whether the stains on the floor are part of the décor or evidence, you may actually love this

Room was horrible. The room next to me had several loud rude kids in it. Once my room was switched as soon as I walked in it was a big cockroach crawling up and down the wall.

As far as hotels go, this place is no luxury. The amenities are middling, rooms generic, and the overall atmosphere is just... eh. But the staff are what really makes a hotel shine, and shine they did. Tom was an excellent host. In every interaction, he went above and beyond to ensure his customers had satisfactory lodgings. He took my concerns seriously and I witnessed him doing the same for others as I passed through the lobby. His exemplary courtesy and calm, cheerful demeanor really brightened my stay. Add to that the clean pool, superb AC, and free parking, and it's definitely a worthwhile lodging. If I had the misfortune to return for similar business, I'd be comfortable staying here again.
