We had a great experience, everything very clean and great view of the Castle outside. Nice large room and staff very attentive, Heating in room not working, but an oil filled radiator was supplied that warm the room up lovely in no time Also, the shower probably needs updating as a little bit outdated and we were unable to get a comfortable temperature and flow ratefrom. All in all a very comfortable stay in a large room with great views of the castle at a great price definitively four stars out of five. We would definitely book again at this hotel

Great location, probably one of the best in Windsor. It’s a shame that the property didn’t live up to its prestigious surroundings. Other than the location, there isn’t much else going for the hotel. We had a room at the front with views of the castle, however when we arrived the curtains were closed, plug in heaters around the room and enough condensation on the windows to have a shower. The rooms are dated an in need of a good clean. The hotel could be great but has been left in disrepair. Blocked sinks dirty floors etc. Luckily we were only there for one night.

Room was tired, peeling paint, cracks, furniture in poor state. Even the bathroom tiles have been painted over and this was peeling. From the makeshift check in desk when you first walk in, the whole place feels run down and in need of some work.

Shower wasn't very hot, and room was being heated by an electric heater instead of central heating so it made the room feel either stuffy or cold and the bathroom freezing.

View of castle is nice plus the area is all walkable to nearby shops and pubs. Room was small. Bed was a full. Can’t fit a bigger bed with the room size. Mattress was old, hard, and springy. No heat in room. They set up an old space heater which barely kept room warm as long as bathroom door was closed. Price is too much for an overnight.

This hotel is on a great location, many shops and places to eat closeby and opposite the castle, our room looked into the castle. Decor is a bit dated now, room was spacious.

The communal areas of the hotel were okay and clean, but the room I was given was VERY tired and dated and very much overdue in terms of redecorating, needing new flooring and needing new bathroom fittings. The bed was not the greatest and seemed to have a spring or piece of metal sticking through the mattress at the end, which I kept catching my feet on. (Painfully!)

No restaurant Car park long walk Curtains hanging off rail, couldn't shut them.   Only one pillow, no spares No blankets Room didn't have kettle, had to ask for one. TV only showed few channels. No BBC1 or 2, ITV, Channel 4 or 5. Radiator not working, very cold in evening and night No soap Banging door in halfway all night as staff when in and out of staff only area. We had to complain at 4am after not sleeping up to that point due to door slamming regularly.  Plus side we only stayed 1 night.

We were disappointed with our stay after booking a luxery room we had to change rooms There was only 1 little sachet of shower gel and shampoo although 2 of us were staying Only a very small supply of 2 teabags and 2 coffee and no biscuits overall we were disappointed as this was a special occasion birthday treat

Was quite disappointing! We booked a luxury room, based off the pictures on hotel.com. we were given room 103 which is not luxury by any means, it was actually an accessible room. When we opened the curtains, the view was horrible. Window was full of stains and could just seen bins, a used mattress and what we assumed were workers from a restaurant sat in the alley! We had no bath in the room - which we thought was included with luxury. We ended up complaining and the lady behind the desk said she had no more rooms - after a bit of back and forth we eventually were offered a new room which was better, with a partial castle view and a bath but unfortunately - no plug for the bath so we couldnt use it anyway! The bed was also two single beds pushed together to disguise as a double bed. All in all, the hotel is a good location but I wouldn't rush back. I didn't think either room I had looked anything like the 'luxury' rooms pictured on Hotels.com
