"We were woken up in the middle of the night due to a false fire alarm going off & it pretty much ruined the overnight sleep. The Room had some type of gritty sand on the bathroom floor that was everywhere. "

"This hotel is a 5 star all around. Special kudos to Kelsey at check-in. She has an authentic welcoming spirit. Our room was perfect in every way. The breakfast was nice, but could be improved by adding gravy for us Southern folks. Check out was quick. I highly recommend this location. "

"This is a lovely property with a large, screened in back porch looking over a green lawn down to a stream. Our family had a fun weekend going to the Shakespeare Theatre in Staunton, doing some hiking in the George Washington National Forest and seeing a movie at the Visulite Cinema. A relaxing and well outfitted stay. We recommend!"

"We stayed for a week in the regular rooms and tbh they weren’t so bad, they were at least clean. Then we moved into the “suites” extended stay rooms. They were terrible. Stains all over the walls, ceiling, lamps, etc. there was two car air fresheners tied to the AC unit, which was CAKED in mold, I’m talking caked. I bought bleach spray and sprayed it inside and out for a couple of days. The first day there about 5K flies in the rooms, and as I started to see, when the cleaners “cleaned” they would leave the doors open to the rooms. I’m guessing to air them out? Idk, I wasn’t expecting the Taj Mahal for 70/night. But I do expect a room to be clean and taken care of. The extended stay rooms were neither. But, like I said, the regular rooms weren’t bad. They were at least clean."

"Our stay at the farmhouse was fantastic. The property is gorgeous, the home is fun and comfortable—everything about it is so hospitable and invites a slowing down and taking in of all the beauty around you, inside and out. The owners are incredible hospitable, kind and generous. The house is stocked with everything we could need and then some. We are definitely looking forward to return visits in the future. "
