Safe and comfortable for solo travel.

Ellerbrook house is ideal in so many ways - location, cleanliness, safety, comfort and the filling breakfast. Moreover, the hosts Robert and Becky are warm, friendly and helpful - Robert was kind enough to guide me on a trek too! Overall, I had a lovely experience at Ellerbrook house.

Great location

Rob and Becky are fantastic hosts! This is the second time that I have stayed here and will definitely be back again. The breakfast is fantastic.

Lovely stay at the lakes

We enjoyed a lot our stay here, Robert and his wife were very nice and gave us a lot of tips for our lakeland adventures. Good location and very good breakfast.

Lovely B&B in Windermere

Lovely place to stay in Windermere about a 10 minute walk from the train station. Room had everything we needed and breakfast was very good each morning. Hosts were very nice and accommodating. Would stay here again.

Best place I’ve stayed!

I had an amazing stay! The bed and sheets were very comfortable and the room was really clean and quiet. Breakfast was delicious and Becky and Rob were wonderful hosts. They made great suggestions when my tour was cancelled at the last minute and we’re very thoughtful and kind.

Both Rob and Becky were very welcoming and friendly during our visit. Breakfast was excellent. The place itself is perfectly clean and had really comfy beds. Location was spot on and only a 5 minute walk to Windermere. Plenty of walks and activities to do in the local area too.

We had a wonderful 5 night stay at Ellerbrook House. The hosts were very welcoming and made us feel very comfortable. The room was clean, comfortable and had lovely extra touches with free toiletries and tea/coffee. The breakfasts were lovely and there was a lot of choice. Wouldn’t hesitate recommending this place for a stay in Windermere. Town was a 5 min walk away with a good range of restaurants too. Pleasure to meet you Rob and Becky. The property is lovely! It’s the perfect distance from the train station while also being close to bowness and the lake. Rob is very helpful when giving recommendations and is very knowledgeable about the area. He also makes a great breakfast!

Rob was an amazing host! He welcomed us and offered to help with our luggage. The hotel was very pretty, clean and cosy! Rob also suggested places to visit and was very friendly. A nice atmosphere and place to stay! The breakfast was lovely too! Thank you for the great hospitality! 😊
