Big Red Chicken Estate is a place where gatherings become unforgettable. Set on five peaceful acres in Wimberley, this expansive two-story retreat blends Hill Country charm with luxurious amenities, creating the perfect backdrop for milestone celebrations, family getaways, and memory-making weekends with your favorite people. With seven bedrooms, six bathrooms, and a full roster of indoor and outdoor features, the home offers room for everyone to spread out, reconnect, and simply enjoy life in one of Texas’ most beloved destinations.
Inside, the main living area sets a stunning tone with cathedral ceilings, dramatic rustic beams, and a towering stone fireplace. Plush leather sofas invite you to settle in for movie night or a cozy morning with coffee in hand. The adjacent kitchen is a chef’s playground, featuring an L-shaped island with bar seating for seven, a second prep island, a gas range, double ovens, a full-size refrigerator, and a thoughtfully stocked butler’s pantry complete with additional appliances, sinks, and a second full refrigerator. Meals can be shared around the elegant six-seat dining table or the charming breakfast table overlooking the backyard and pool.
Entertainment is built into every corner. A dedicated media room offers a true theater experience with a massive projection screen, Apple TV, reclining leather seating for eight, and an additional streaming TV for flexibility. The entry-level flex space is perfect for board games or puzzles, with a stocked game closet ready for hours of fun. Kids and the young-at-heart will adore the indoor slide next to the staircase, making every walk between floors feel like an adventure.
Sleeping spaces are spread throughout the home for comfort and privacy. The primary suite on the ground floor is a serene escape with a king bed, a private TV, back patio access, and a spa-style bathroom featuring a soaking tub, dual vanities, and a large custom shower with opposing shower heads. A nearby bedroom with a twin bed and a crib is ideal for families traveling with little ones. Another ground-floor king suite features its own bathroom and TV, giving guests multiple luxurious options.
Upstairs, you’ll find four additional bedrooms—each with its own charm and amenities. A bunk room with a twin bed and twin-over-twin bunk offers a fun kids’ zone with its own bathroom. Another bedroom features two full beds, a whimsical chair swing, and a private bath. Two more queen rooms round out the upper level, one with a Jack-and-Jill bathroom and the other boasting deck access with outdoor lounge seating, dining space for six, and a spiral staircase leading directly to the pool area. Additional sleeping space is available on the upstairs landing with a twin-over-full bunk and a foosball table for late-night friendly competition.
Step outside, and the estate transforms into a private resort. The fenced backyard is anchored by a large pool with in-water stools, a built-in spa, and plenty of loungers and umbrellas. The outdoor kitchen is ready for al fresco feasts with bar seating, a propane grill, sink, outdoor TV, and additional dining for six. Beyond the pool you’ll find tree swings, a tree house, cafe lights, a picnic area, an outdoor shower, and a fire ring (available when burn bans are not in effect). Every corner invites you to lounge, laugh, and soak up the Hill Country air.
