Clean room, good breakfast. The hotel is over 300 years old, that comes with pluses and minuses. For us, it made for a unique and authentic experience that was worth the outdated fixtures. Our room also had an unbeatable view.

Room was cozy and had great views. Quiet town away from tourists. Breakfast buffet included. Nice restaurant for lunch and dinner. The only downside was the lack of friendliness among staff, especially the evening waitress who was snippy from the start. The evening receptionist was also a little cold and the morning staff did not acknowledge us at all both mornings.

I got exactly what I wanted out of an old Swiss property. The staff was very nice. The broom was comfortable with the private bathroom and shower. The bed was nice with the TV in the room and everything went very well. The restaurant was excellent and for 300-year-old hotel they've done a great job at at keeping up with the times inside.

Cute area with the best views. It was easy to catch the bus downtown. Breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had. Hotel is older but very clean. Bathroom had funky smell.

Cosy stay

The hotel staff were helpful and friendly. Our room was perfect for our needs. We really enjoyed the breakfast. The Silvester Party on New Year's Eve was lots of fun. It was very generous. Only downswide, there was no snow! Proof of global warming :-(

Bus was every 30mins, a little bit of a walk from train station, not a lot of restaurant or store to choose from. Staff were very nice. It's an old hotel, bed and floor makes creaky sound. Understand no airconditioner so you open the window but staff smokes outside and it goes to your room. Breakfast was good!

The Baren exceeded all my expectations. It was cozy, clean, and the staff were so accommodating. I cannot recommend this place enough. We also enjoyed using the sauna facilities and the breakfast was great. We came a little late one day and the server made us more eggs and bacon fresh. Beautiful area as well close to a bus stop.

Hmmm what to say lol. We chose Hotel Baren because it was an “affordable” hotel close to Interlaken. If you need the bus it takes about 15 minutes to get to Interlaken. Bonus the bus was free and the stop is close by. The building is very old so the bathroom is a retrofit, small and adequate. The sink was in the room. No elevator. No coffee or tea or kettle but breakfast was included so that was nice. The room was cold in early October. An extra blanket for the bed helped. All in all it was okay.

Zentral in Wilderswil gelegenes Hotel, eher kleines Zimmer mit Balkon und Bergblick. Das Mobiliar ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, v.a. im Bad, aber es war sauber. Unkomplizierter Check-In und Check-Out, Parkplätze am Hotel (kostenpflichtig). Schönes Frühstücksbuffet.
