Nature. <br>At Waldhaus Wiersdorf, the name says it all: Nestled in the heart of the Eifel Forest and very close to a reservoir lies our bungalow, which was completely renovated in 2019/20 and is as modern as it is stylishly furnished. After driving from the village along an unpaved dirt road, guests are greeted by a 10,000-square-meter property set against an impressive sandstone backdrop. Whether it’s a relaxing family vacation or a social weekend with friends—our Waldhaus offers plenty of options for special moments of enjoyment in every season. Contributing to this are, among other things, various sun terraces, a professional gas grill, a children’s play area, and our wellness area with a sauna and wood-fired outdoor hot tub.<br>Arrive. Feel at home. Relax.<br>The Waldhaus’s interior design is characterized by a successful blend of Scandinavian vintage and modern functionality. Natural materials, select designs, and coordinating color schemes were used throughout. But it’s not just the eye that’s appealed to—all the other senses are deliberately engaged as well. For example, with a cast-iron wood-burning stove, contemporary home entertainment, and exceptional sleeping comfort.<br> With two double rooms, a twin-bed connecting room, a two-person sleeper sofa, and various extra-bed options, our Waldhaus also proves to be a sleeping wonder.<br>An open living area on different levels offers space for relaxation, conversation, and socializing. Plus, coziness is a top priority for us. That’s why firewood for the fireplace and hot tub is included in the price. Last but not least, the fully equipped kitchen makes preparing meals during your stay a breeze.<br>From zero to a hundred.<br>If you’re looking for a change of pace during the day—whether it’s sports, sightseeing, or shopping—the town of Wiersdorf in the Eifel district of Bitburg-Prüm is a great starting point for many activities. It’s just a few minutes’ drive to the 18-hole “Bitburger Land” golf course, a 10-minute walk to the Biersdorf Reservoir, 30 km to the fascinating Roman city of Trier, a 40-minute drive to the vineyards producing delicious Moselle wines around Traben-Trarbach or Bernkastel-Kues, and just under a 60-minute drive to the capital of neighboring Luxembourg.<br>For regional products, a farm just a 10-minute walk away offers a fresh milk vending machine with a wide selection of fresh items.
