"Very nice old building with lots of original featues,lovely airy conservatory for breakfast, a bit misleading in photos of full english but only continental included in price, full english is an extra 12.50 pp, plus 18 pp for parking is a bit steep. Otherwise lots of stairs to our room on third floor as we were right in the eaves, so for those with mobility issues always best to check to be put on ground floor, also stairs down to restaurant/breakfast room, we had an enjoyable stay. "

"Truly a fabulous hotel in Cambridge a short walk from the train station. I had the most comfortable sleep I've had in a very long time. My room was truly fabulous along with the bed. A must for every time I stay in Cambridge. The breakfast service came with Porridge and as is top of my list a pot of real (super) coffee on request. I will be back!"

"Fab place. I’ve stayed a few times and it’s always good quality. Staff went above and beyond this visit. Gym was excellent with good quality air con. My room was nice & comfy. I did 3 classes during my stay, all classes were of high quality. I had an evening meal & breakfast, again good quality. I sat out on the veranda overlooking the golf course. I also used the sauna during my visit which was one of the hottest I’ve been in! Top notch! Well done The Essex"
