"The outside of the building looks terrible. Abandonbed. I thought my husband was joking when he said that was it. But the inside was completely redone and surprisingly modern and clean. Communication was terrible, but thank goodness the couple who cleans was there and they were a huge help, otherwise we wouldn't have been able to get our access code. "

"The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hostel itself is perfectly located to be able to walk around the shopping and restaurant part of Reykjavik. The dormitories were perfectly adequate, though if you're not very limber, you might want to request a lower bunk and not an upper one. Bathrooms were very clean and lots of lovely hot water."

"I only gave it four stars for "staff" since there was no-one actually there: you simply let yourself in with they code they gave you. That said, the instructions they provided were super clear. Lovely guesthouse, great amenities and super well located: would definitely stay again."
