After I had to change hotels I chose to come to the Yangthang Heritage. Not only did the accept my last minute booking but also prepared a room immediately. The room was clean and comfortable. Sinclair's is an older, well-maintained, and attractive property, with beautiful views of Kanchenjunga. The street leading up to it is steep, and then are stairs leading up to the hotel and more to the rooms (no lift), so you need to be all right with that. (We're over 70 and had no problem.) The staff is lovely and go out of their way to help you. I'd single out Bragya--I hope I have her name right--for exceptional service, helping us find a taxi to Bagdogra at a heavily touristed festival...
