The Tropical Guest Cottage is located in the in highly sought- after Palm Beach Historic District, of El Cid on the "300 Block," just one block from the intercostal water way.
This is a very SAFE, and quiet neighborhood. All of the houses in the El Cid area are 2 million +, so it is very enjoyable to walk around the neighborhood and admire the architecture and breath taking landscaping.
The guest cottage is fully detached from the main house on the property, offering complete privacy. Surrounded by beautiful tropical landscaping nestled under the shade of a 90 year old mango tree.
Interior approx. 600 square feet. Updated tile floors and fresh paint. Ice cold A/C, & heat (seldom needed in FL). The open wood beam plank ceiling and many windows opening onto the garden and mango tree, offer an open-feel to the somewhat smaller space.

BEDROOM: Brand new queen size bed with new egyptian cotton linens, new white down comforter, new flatscreen smart TV, 2 separate sitting areas, a writing desk, full length mirrored closet space and a clothes dresser.
BATHROOM: has traditional Florida style 50’s sunny yellow tile. This is a happy color to start your day in! Shower, toilet, sink and storage space. Original radiant heater in the bathroom. We provide new high-end luxury towels and a hair dryer. Start-up shampoo, conditioner, & soaps provided for your convenience.
KITCHEN: Stove, oven, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, pots and pans, cooking utensils, eatery all provided.
LAUNDRY: there is no washer/dryer in unit , however there is a wonderful dry cleaner 0.2miles away “ OZO2” OR coin laundromat next to Publix grocery store , 0.5 miles away “Blue Bubble”.
⭐️GETTING AROUND: 2 miles PBI - palm beach international airport 1.5 miles Tri rail , brite line station 1.3 miles to the BEACH fully equipped with lifeguards, showers & restroom 1 mile to downtown and CityPlace. Bedners Fresh Market practically across the St 0.5 mile to Publix grocery 1 mile to Norton Gallery. 1 block to Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens 1 mile to Palm Beach Island
*You can walk, bike or uber/lyft (approx wait/ pickup time only 5 min around here) to downtown events like the boat show or Sunfest for examples to avoid the traffic and parking.
*Walking distance to the emerging restaurant row with an array of different cuisines offered.
*Parking is on the street. Access is left (west) of the main house down the driveway to the stone path through the garden.
CLEANING FEE: $60 for cost of cleaning in- between guests. We hire professionals for your safety & comfort.
PETS: We know how much people love their fur babies so, small dog/cat under 20lbs acceptable with the $50 pet fee. The pet fee is for the additional/ deep cleaning needed after pet stay in-between guests.
RULES: * We are contingent on the minimum damage protection plan offered by VRBO. They offer two options: 1.) 1 time fee of $59 provides up to $1500 in accidental insurance. (RECOMMENDED) 2.) Refundable $1500 security deposit *** Please note takes approx 2 weeks for VRBO to return the security deposit

Property managers were prompt with communication. Bungalow is about 3 blocks from the canal; 2 miles from West Palm Beach. We'd recommend eating at Pig Beach BBQ!
Great location, comfortable apartment for two. Everything as described in the listing. The kitchen is very basic so it would be hard to do elaborate meals here. But there are many fun food options in the immediate neighborhood. Within walking distance to groceries, museums, parks, shopping.
Perfect location for our weekend. Clean cottage and perfect for our needs. Hosts were friendly. Street parking was safe and secure. New appliances were cute and fitting for the cottage! We would return!
I grew up in South Florida. This place reminds me of a traditional Florida home. Everything was very real Florida style. Nice amenities, big comfy bed in a great location in West Palm beach. Host was very accommodating and I plan on returning in the future.
The location was perfect for me for shopping, siteseeing, to the beach, to golf,etc, etc, etc.
The owner responded immediatly to any of my needs, example, i had a problem with the tv, he was able to solve that the same day, the toaster and coffee pot needed update, he took care of that also..
The kitchdn was well stocked although there were no smaller fry pans, like an 8inch or 10inch perhaps.
The bed was very comfortable, the unit is perfect for one or two people.
I very much enjoyed my stay.
This humble cottage is well priced and very sufficient.
I stayed six nights, always pleased to walk into this one bedroom with kitchen and bath and be comfortable, quiet, prepare food, shower and stretch out.
Parking on street is easy. Walk (or run🌞) three blocks to a route along the Inner Coastal Waterway (sweet).
Host is VERY responsive.
This cottage is behind the main house which was initially curious. But I felt at home immediately when I came home with groceries the first day.

This place is affordable for the area and it was very easy to get a hold of the property manager when needed (she’s great!). You really can’t beat this location for the price because it’s pretty central to everything but I’d recommend bringing flip flops for the shower. We would stay here again :).
Was a very nice cottage totally adequate for two people very close to downtown and the surrounding area anything you need for your stay is within walking distance thank you to the owner for your quick response to my text questions and your recommendations for the local restaurants

The Host was helpful in that he activated free Netflix on the unit's Smart TV for me. However, the unit was cluttered with stuff it didn't need, the furniture was modest, Thrift Shop at best; not a value at the price point charged. Upon taking my first shower, I discovered a very large frog was my co-tenant and occupied the shower stall with me. The strange odor in the unit appeared to be frog poop or some other frog secretions.. Clearly, he/she entered the unit when a previous tenant or the host left the front door open too long. I ushered Senor Frog out by shooing him/her with a towel. While I realize that jungle denizens are common in the Florida tropics, cane toads, in particular, are dangerous in that they spit venomous liquids at their perceived enemies, which can kill. I cannot tell the difference between cane toads and harmless frogs.
