The small district of Wernigerode has a pretty spa park with botanical features and is known for the so-called Old Pharmacy, the headquarters of the Schierker Feuerstein. Activities nearby: The Brockenbahn train station is around 10 minutes' walk away. Hiking trails and cross-country ski runs can be reached directly from the house. Whether bakery, supermarket, restaurant, savings bank or cafe - all important things can be reached in a few minutes on foot. You can get to Wernigerode and Braunlage in a few minutes by car.
