Poor property management

We came to Maggie Valley for a wedding. Saturday morning we stopped having water. I called between 9:30-10 to let someone know because we would need to shower and use the restroom before the wedding at 3. Never heard from anyone until Saturday night at 9:30 and they were going to move us the night before check out. Half of us were asleep already. We had been to this cottage before and loved it so we asked or friends to come with us and I was so embarrassed to say the least. There weren’t able to shower for this wedding or even go to the restroom. I would like a refund. Because I am giving them back their part of the rental. I have still not heard from anyone yet to remedy the situation.

Great view. No Grill.

Description of road leading to cabin is accurate. View is great! There was no grill. Called and was told one would be delivered next day. No grill ever showed up. If you plan to grill your meals select another place.

Gorgeous view

Beautiful, peaceful location. Enjoyed the full size washer and dryer as well :) The second bathroom is inside one of the downstairs guest bedroom - this has to be shared with the third guest room.

Million Dollar Views

An amazing home for sure! Well decorated and stocked with everything you need. Allow yourself enough time to go up and down mountain, IT IS WORTH THE TRIP EVERY TIME. So much wildlife, mountain fresh air and more. We went hiking with Llamas about 40 minutes away! Separate trips to waterfalls, great dining and more. Only downfall Id say, is working with a management (which didnt seem local) and not the actual owner themselves. I had been emailed opportunity to stay additional night at discounted price, when I called was told that expired. The home wasnt rented for another 4 days.... I had been emailed that I could pay for a late checkout, the following day I called and that too had expired. My daughters flight didnt leave until 6pm, so I had to pay for an additional evening, in order to have a late checkout. :-( I am a premiere host of rental property myself in FL, and I bend over backwards to make each guest fell welcomed. I would have handled it much differently

Breathtaking View

I would highly recommend this rental. Spectacular views. Must have a four wheel drive for sure in the winter. A little scary drive up the mountain, especially in the fog. BUT WELL WORTH IT!

View from Above

I always pick cabins great views and nice outside areas with a deck to enjoy the weather. This place has the best view I’ve seen in NC and is clean, modern and very nice. Well done!

Valley View Cottage is awesome!

I was a bit anxious to drive up to the top of the mtn but after a few times, I have came to love the mtns. And absolutely loved the precious and well-equipped cottage and the view!

Gorgeous Views!

Pictures do not do it Justice. One evening a black bear came to visit on the back deck. So cool. We absolutely loved it hear and did not want to leave.

Beautiful, peaceful, and comfortable.

The property was perfect for a family of four. Stunning view from the mountainside, fully stocked with all the creature comforts (kitchen utensils, towels, etc.), and excellent location -- near anything you need including a Publix! Would do it again, and probably will.

Wonderful Thanksgiving in the mountains

We met family to celebrate Thanksgiving together. The place is wonderful. The pictures don’t do it justice. Everything had a great time. It was the most relaxing Thanksgiving I have had in many years. The kitchen was so well stocked with good appliances, pans, and cooking utensils. I loved it. The view is incredible and we enjoyed the fire pit also.

This is my Happy Place!

This home was just as it is listed. Beautiful views, super comfortable beds, the sofa was amazing as was the living room fireplace. The kitchen was perfect for cooking family meals and had everything that a cook would need sans spices. We did finally get to use the outside firepit the last night and it was cozy and relaxing with the outside string lights. We were sad to say goodbye to this lovely home and we apologize, it was only when we were 1/4 of the way home that my son realized he left a biscuit in the microwave.

Cleanliness is important

Property was great and what we expected outside of the unit just not being clean. My wife had to basically sweep the floors, wipe and clean the counters, pull towels and sheets from dryer. There were dirty cleaning rags with lint balls left on top of dryer, cleaning sprays left out on sink and bags of garbage left outside in the yard. The unit appeared as if the cleaning company left and forgot to come back. We don’t expect things to be perfect, but, when you are required to pay the substantial amount requested for cleaning you expect a certain product. Everything was great outside of the lack of cleanliness.

Amazing view

Nothing better than an amazing view of mountains and valley of Waynesville. Close to shopping and downtown. Or just enjoy the silence.

Couple Getaway

Great location and wonderful home. Make sure you read your emails because they tell you everything you need to know. The water pressure was low if multiple people are taking showers but with water going up a mountain it’s to be expected. We did meet people going up and down the mountain often but it was a non issue. We would go back. So clean, plenty of space, wonderful views, and so relaxing.
