I stay here often. It’s an updated drive-up motel and it’s wonderful. All of the rooms face the lake and have a patio. Plus it’s sooo quiet. Beds are comfy. Winter is definitely off season, but the wineries and breweries were open, and some good restaurants and coffee nearby. Self checkin was easy. A good quiet place to get away.

Clean room , felt just a little unsafe at night from how dark the area was. I would definitely appreciate better lockers for balcony and front door . Then that super clean room!

The room was excellent,only problem was the power went out around 4:30 called the office which was remote, not on site that it was out. The response was they would contact NYSG the power provided they confirmed the power was out in our area and didn't why or when it would come back on. The temp outside was in the upper 20s and the wind blowing.we informed them that we were leaving and asked if we could use this boooking for a later date, they said because it was through Expida they didn't know,

Good location. Room was clean and had standard necessities (iron,coffee pot, fridge, microwave, and bath toiletries). Would have liked to have an in room safe. Only had an electrical outlet on one side of bed. Overall well equipped.

The view of Seneca lake is priceless /spectacular. The room was spotless, and the bed was comfy- had everything you need. There are 3 different levels that provide views to the lake. I think I would have liked the balconies best but I chose the suite which was nice. Note this is an older hotel that has been remodeled, and I found no issues at all. There is no room service or phone in the room. It is a quiet area with food options about 6-10 minutes away in the main area of town. everything was closeby.

We had the suite rooms on the ground level. Rooms were clean, fun, brightly coloured and good sized rooms. View was not as good as the 2nd floor balconies, but a few steps off the patio and toward the lake were beautiful. We were very happy with our room. Unfortunately, we were there in off season, so we were not able to experience the dining room.

This hotel was very nice. The lake view from our room, the deck btwn the bldgs, or the restaurant was BEAUTIFUL. Staff was very friendly. Room and restaurant comfortable with good food.! Really close to lots of activities and sites.. highly recommended.

Best Views of Seneca Lake!

Loved our one night stay at The Hotel Laurel. Wish we had stayed a second night. First of all, I can't imagine a better view of Seneca Lake than at this hotel. All rooms have balconies that overlook the lake. And the hotel has a large deck area with tables and chairs where you can sit outside and enjoy the evening air. The hotel had a restaurant and we did have breakfast there and it was quite good. Convenient to Watkins Glen also. The only issue was our balcony door got stuck and would not open when we returned from dinner. We were able to get it open when we first arrived and enjoyed a few minutes looking out at the lake. But for some reason the latch would not open all the way. Not a huge deal and it probably could have been easily fixed by the staff but at that point it was late. Besides I watched the sunrise with a cup of coffee from the aforementioned deck. Also saw a herd of deer walking across the field down below us in the early morning. Absolutely would stay here again.

Wish I could have stayed longer

My husband and I both loved this place. The room is nice and also large. The mini fridge has a freezer. Whe whole place is cut and has nice touches like a little pumpkin on the patio table (October). We arrived kind of late (glad I called to confirm their limited check-in hours). Check-in was quick and easy. We also had just enough time to eat dinner there since no where else was open in the area. We were happy with the food which had large portions. The atmosphere was also nice. They have a pretty large bar including a wine or beer flight. Wish they had a cider flight. They night we stayed they didn't have the restaurant open this morning. That's okay, we found somewhere in town. I loved sitting on the balcony in the morning. Absolute perfection and the view was good. The only little annoyances was it seems like they might use a mattress protector that makes weird noise when you move. Also for the heat/Ac unit "constant fan" didn't work. Being a light sleeper it kept waking me when it kicked on. I'm still very happy with my stay and would absolutely come back felt like I hit the jackpot with the price, location, and adorable inn. It also helps that the location was just down the road from our plans, Watkins Glen State Park and Captain Bill's.. Shower set up seemed odd to us. Nice aesthetic but I guess we just aren't that hip.

The room overlooking the lakes was amazing. Nice and clean. It looks like they have done renovation just recently. Loved their patio too. There were lots of light bulbs hanging across the patio which created this beautiful and cozy atmosphere. Although 2 out of 3 heaters outside were not working, so we couldn't fully enjoy it. Check in was fast. We were provided necessary information except for breakfasts. If it was not included in the price we could have been told that there is a breakfast option available for an additional cost. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay here!
