"Overall, the stay was good. House was beautiful but Wasn’t very clean when we got there. The counters weren’t very clean, there was random garbage from the previous visitors, and the fridge / freezer wasn’t cleaned out. The kitchen was lacking a lot of essentials or looked dirty. we knew we had to bring our own linens but didn’t expect everything( hand towel, kitchen towels, wash cloths.)The hot tube was great and the views were breath taking."

"Great cabin! We stayed in February in the snow, and greatly enjoyed the wood stove and the warm hot tub, which held temperature beautifully even in 8 degree weather! The bed was comfortable, and we liked the simple decor. It's a quiet location with beautiful pine trees, and hiking trails behind the cabin. Things to know: It's a little drafty, and rustic (we liked the rustic!). The loft is very short- good for kids, not adults. Mattresses are maybe 10 inch thick- 12 inch sheets would fit well. You might want an extra blanket. Kitchen has plates, bowls, lots of sizes of pots, cutting boards, and most basic utensils, but is lacking in many other things. We brought our cast iron and favorite kitchen gadgets along, but wished for a sharp knife, a scissor, and hot pads. Cory is a great host and appreciates feedback.It is an enjoyable cabin at a decent price, and we will likely make it our yearly winter weekend get away spot! :)"

"Quick response time from host. Comfy cabin near lots of cute towns, hiking, and nature centers. Cabin was comfy and cozy. Had some cleaning issues upon arrival but host did remedy them. "

"Very welcoming cabin! It stayed warmed despite the cold temps and was well maintained during our stay. Kitchen could have been better stocked in regards to cookware, but is something I will keep in mind should my family wish to book again. "

"Had a great Christmas away from home. A place to drag all the kids and their spouses away from everything else going on around the holidays. The place is large, lots of room to spread out, large kitchen for bigger groups. The bed I slept in was pretty comfortable and overall a comfortable place. Kitchen was very well appointed, probably more than most places we've stayed. Only 7 minutes from downtown Lansing so easy to pop over and grab dinner, drinks or groceries. We took the ferry across to Wisconsin to see the activities happening on the river."
