"Amazing our stay was perfect"

"Spotlessly clean hotel with a friendly welcome on arrival. Room had wonderfully comfortable beds and pillows and a great sized shower. Hotel was lovely and quiet too. The only disappointment was the quality of the cooked breakfast elements, really cheap, deep fried sausages, bacon had run out and only scrambled eggs available -also, heavily diluted fresh juice. Wasn't a messive issue for us but if you're into a full cooked breakfast it might be. Overall, good 👍 "

"Having never stayed before at the Crazy Bear I went in with high expectations, however I didn’t realise the room which was meant to be a decent level, was the size of a postage stamp, just enough room for a double bed, no spa even though it was advertised as that’s the other venue not Steadhampton. Overall less than impressed, especially for the money, probably the most expensive hotel you can stay in per square foot, which was about 12. "

"The room was disgusting with stains over the bathroom floor and bin, the bedroom had not been vacuumed very well with large build up of dust around the skirtings, and the drawers looked like someone had vomitted in. Awful place, do not stay in this hotel. "

"Lovely little cottage , we found it easily. Clean and tidy , had all we needed with the exception of a tea towel but I’m sure if we’d asked that would have been fourth coming. Plenty of logs etc for the fire, which we made the most of just because we don’t have one in our flat. Heating is perfectly adequate. Comfortable bed, plenty of storage if staying longer. Bus stop 2 minutes away to get into Oxford which we used everyday. Lovely bakery, coffee shop and co-op in village. Over all a peaceful and enjoyable weekend. "

"This was the ideal holiday home for our family with teenage boys. Every detail was so well thought through. The decor was gorgeous, the spacious rooms were luxurious, the beds, linens, superb en suite bathrooms - all faultless. We only wish we could have stayed longer. The owners are really kind and helpful - we felt very looked after. The games room and board games were brilliant and the garden was perfect. We especially loved seeing the horses, chickens and other cute animals outside our windows. Everywhere you looked from the house there was an incredible view. Although we barely wanted to leave the Barn during our time as we felt so comfortable and we loved cooking there, the countryside walks to the local pubs were beautiful. We can’t wait to book again! Thank you for making our stay so perfect"

"We travelled to Oxford for a break from city life and found this lovely hotel. The service was great on check-in. The bar service was also very good. Drinks were a little bit on the pricey side of things. Our room was lovely and well presented and we found the bed to be really comfortable. There was one issue however. at night the balcony lights would come on automatically, which meant light attempted to shine into the room. If I woke up early without looking at the clock, I think the Sun was rising. "

"We stayed 2 nights in a suite. The room was delightful and we slept very well. Dinner both nights was outstanding and we wished we could have stayed longer to try out more of the menu ! Breakfast was freshly cooked each morning and also delicious. Would definitely return. "

"Bit of room to improve here, to charge the rate paid (£118). The floors weren’t clean, and the decorating very tired - lots of messy paint, rusty radiator, and mucky old window in the shower room. I will highlight the very comfortable bed & quality bedding as the best aspect of our stay! But cleaning the floors (and toilet) between guests is essential."
