"This house should not be on VRBO. We checked in based on pictures that did not begin to represent the conditions we found. Recovery from major surgery prevented us from leaving immediately; we had to stay several days. This “charming” home was dirty, inadequately appointed, in disrepair and unsafe. Cupboards were dirty throughout the kitchen. There were no cooking pots and only a single fork in the utensil drawer (yes, one fork!). We had to buy basics that have come with every other rental. A mixing bowl in the cupboard was dirty with dried food stuck to the bowl. The only condiment in the house was a single nearly empty container of salt. The two frying pans were stored in a dirty cabinet adjacent to an old mouse glue trap — incredibly unsanitary and disgusting. We found roaches throughout. A bedroom closet door was completely missing while the other door was hanging off a broken hinge. A bathroom cabinet door was the same. The listing showed a living room with curtains on the windows. These had been removed when we checked in and there were no blinds. The living room was fully exposed to the street day and night. Clearly a security issue. Stained carpets and linens, grime along bathroom baseboards, the list goes on. We left as soon as we were able and even offered to pay for the days we stayed, asking only for a refund on unused days. The host refused, telling VRBO this was only a cleanliness issue. No one should have to experience these conditions or treatment. See pics."
"The house was very nice and in a good neighborhood, although tight with driving through to get to the house. Not the owners fault, just an observation. The house was clean and we loved the little Christmas tree. I have two "areas of improvement" because the house wasn't negative. The beds weren't overly comfortable and were loud because of the crinkly mattress protectors. Totally understand the need for them and love that they had them, heat would be better with some non-crinkly ones. The other thing was there were no pot holders anywhere in the kitchen. I had put something in the oven to warm and had to improvise with a towel to get it out. Otherwise it was a lovely home and easy access to things. "
"The accommodations were excellent; met my family's needs and then some. Working with the host was more than pleasant...not intrusive, yet very welcoming, well organized and thoughtful! Happy to recommend this facility. "

"I never stayed here. I booked this room and showed up at check-in time but couldn’t get inside. I called and messaged the host whose phone number had been disconnected and they did not respond to messages. I eventually contacted VRBO customer service who did their due diligence and eventually cancelled my reservation and set me up to receive a full refund. "
