"Wonderfully friendly host, gorgeous location, very relaxing and comfortable house. A great way to get away from the usual tourist route and to see another part of the Kaikoura coast. Loved listening to the ruru at night, watching the quail in the backyard, reading the history of the valley, and hanging out with the sheep. The kitchen was well appointed and easy to work in, the lounge and beds were very comfortable. The only drawback is that the house might be a little tricky for a larger group, as the bath/shower room is a bit of a hallway: it has four doors that open on to it. It's the easiest access to one bedroom, and the only interior access to the loo is through it. "
