Bydand is in a really lovely spot overlooking the River Tweed, with hills ascending beyond. The neighbouring park is a lovely spot for a shortish stroll and there are plenty of good walks in the area. If you want to go out partying, Walkerburn is not for you, and the nearest supermarket is two miles away in Innerleithen. But if you're into the great outdoors and love Scotland's greenery, it's a great place to be. (I know, I lived in Walkerburn for four years after living in London.)
Great location overlooking the river.Well equipped and spotlessly clean.Large outside area with seating and with plenty of parking space too.Friendly and helpful owner.

Comfortable cottage and lovely location looking out over the river.
Comfortable cottage and lovely location looking out over the river. Great location for visiting the area. Lovely quiet and peaceful setting. Well that is apart from when we had to chase after one of the dogs who decided to chase a rabbit which had got through the fence. The dog loved being out there, thankfully she didn’t see a rabbit again but couldn’t wait to keep going out just in case!!!

After a wearing six month's we have spent the most relaxing week at Bydand my husband loved the cycle from the gate, and I enjoyed sitting in the garden listening to the river reading. The husband said at least twice a day this is a really lovely spot .

Well equipped, clean comfortable house.
Well equipped, clean comfortable house. We had a great few days there. Beautiful views from the house. The only thing I could mention, that there wasn't a hairdryer in the house. But it wasn't a big issue really.

An extremely well equipped comfortable cottage .
An extremely well equipped comfortable cottage . The views from the large window are lovely overlooking the Tweed. You can walk from the front door if you feel inclined and relax in the garden if you so choose. For those with mobility problems the steps into the cottage may be a little challenging but there is a hand rail to help you in.

This wonderful bungalow is right on the Tweed with fabulous views.
This wonderful bungalow is right on the Tweed with fabulous views. It is brilliant for dog walking right from the door. Comfortable chairs, comfortable beds, good shower and new, well equipped kitchen. The enclosed garden was brilliant for the dogs too. The riverside walk ran really close to the house but was never a problem as people were usually jogging or cycling past. The village itself is a little run down but, as it is only a couple of miles away from Inerleithen, that really didn't matter to us at all. We are re-booking towards the end of this year because we liked it so much.
