"Great location. Just across the road from lakefront and a short stroll to 2 mile bay sailing club which do beer and pizza dinners on the lake. A bit dated but large rooms, very clean, friendly staff. Good value. We use it as a nice stopover between auckland and wellington."

"**Excellent Stay – Highly Recommend!** My family stayed at the Hilton Lake Taupo over the weekend and had a wonderful experience. Overall, an excellent hotel with lovely facilities and a comfortable, relaxing atmosphere. A few amenities around the pool area, including the sauna, were unfortunately not operational during our stay, but this did not detract significantly from our overall experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend the hotel to others. We would certainly stay again!"

"Beautiful location with access directly to the path around the lake. A great place to eat wiht a view of the lake only steps away. Quiet. Staff helped us with rooms all next to each other (3 rooms) and on the bottom floor a we were a group of 65 yr. olds. Only 1 washer/dryer on site that we could see. It would be nice if staff explained use and if there were special hours or access for the washer/dryer. Loved the kitchen area and the warmer towel rack in the bathroom was great."

"Great overall, downstairs double bedrooms quite small, and there is only the one bathroom with a shub rather than separate shower. Having said that though, it was a perfectly pleasant place to stay and close to everything."
