Although this unit was a bit cheaper than others, the lower price is not worth the agrivation of what you're up against in this unit.
I can tolerate a dated condo as long as it is cleaned & maintained. The unit was neither. Carperts were not vacuumed, and our cleaning cloths were black after wiping down the tile floors. Chairs had tears in them. Ceiling fan in bathroom was hanging, which mtc came to fix. Its like the unit wasnt touched prior to our arrival. Crumbs even left on slip cover in one bed and a dress was left undef the bed from a previous occupant.
The worst overall, however, was the constant battle of killing roaches. We used up an extra large can of household Raid ant/roach killer. We zip locked bagged any food items left out, as they crawled out from crevices, in cabinets, dishwasher, under toaster/coffe maker and routinely on the floors in kitchen & living rm. Family was scuzzed out. My daughter did not know it, but her boyfriend & family would be secretly staying in another unit and he would be proposing to her on the beach. To find another place would have been difficult, costly and disruptive to detailed plans. We had to stick it out, but did not want mtc to spray industrial pesticides while occupying the unit.
Location is ideal and certainly the other unit our friends were in was much better because it is properly cared for.
This unit should not be allowed to rent out until it is professionally treated for roach infestation. It tainted our time for sure.
