"It was clean, quiet and felt quite safe. The place itself is definitely COZY - there are cupboards and storage, but they are difficult to access as the space is very tight. More than 2 adults would be very hard. The bathroom vanity door was missing, so no mirror. The bathroom is quite small - the shower door is about 18" wide. The seats for the dining table were damaged and unusable - I asked about them and was told they were "decorative.' Kitchen is fine, but no spices of any kind - not even...

"Property location is excellent. Heart of the Marais. Previous guests complained about the stains and mold in kitchen & bathroom - they were never fixed. 5/6 lights did not work. The management company is making $$$ on each rental - it would be nice to see some simple things fixed/ painted. I can see the charm of the place - high ceilings, tall windows, functional kitchen, and don’t mind wildly sloping floors with epic slivers. We enjoyed our stay"

"This is a fairly good alternative for a single or couple who doesn’t look for luxury. It is a bare bones property. The pros: it’s in a location with two useful Metro lines close by, and is on a fairly inactive short street between two busy neighborhoods. There are ample bistros and restaurants with real Parisians rather than tourists. The cons: the ad implies that they speak English, but I had to rely on my high school French; the housekeeping is poor, only coming after you return from a day of sightseeing, then only making the bed but never changing the sheets; the breakfast is mid, and served in a tiny room that becomes claustrophobic with several guests eating at once. For a lower priced property it’s fine. For tourists who want a level of service and luxury, they might be disappointed."

"This is an old, run-down hotel that looks NOTHING like the pics. It is not in a good area (we had to be there for work) so we did not expect the Ritz, but it was Really BAD. Our room was not ready when we arrived, so we PAID, checked in, and left our bags. When we returned a few hours later, the man at reception could not even find our reservation! We gave our names, passports, and even the room number we were told we'd get, but it still took him 15 minutes to find the room we ALREADY PAID FOR. Then he rolled out someone else's luggage, because he couldn't find ours! Each bag is numbered and tagged, so this carelessness is inexcusable. Also, there is not enough hot water for 2 people to take a shower after a 15 hour flight, nor do they have ice (!) bc they lost the recipe. TRULY AWFUL - you will do better to stay in a hostel."
