「Negatives; 1. Last 30 metres of climb to the property was extremely steep. 2. The bed (a pull our couch) was the hardest that we have ever experienced. 3. The owner/host spoke zero English. 4. She showed us an unacceptable small unit, which we declined, until showing us a larger one with a view (which we had paid for). 5. 「In a very quiet passageway very close to the old centre. A short walk to the station. The people in the town very friendly. Lacked an iron, board or dryer. Comfortable large bed. Highly recommended. Not so EXPEDIA who formerly advised us the room was available 2 hours before it should have been and the host had to scramble cleaners to get the room ready early. Well done to the host. 「We stayed for two nights in late October. It is only 15 minute drive from San Francesco Cathedral of Assisi. You have to drive up a very steep narrow road up the hill, but the view looking down Assisi is breath taking and well worth the effort. (I would highly recommend getting there before dark if it's the first time to drive to the place) Don't forget to eat at the restaurant - they serve wonderfully delicious food.
