「Clean room, quiet, close to several locations around Vik, although not actually in Vik. Could see the ocean from our room」

「Absolutely stunning room and breakfast at the hotel across the parking lot was a bonus. The property is on the main road in town so the view is just OK but the location is unbeatable and it was very quiet at night. Only complaint was the lights... numerous switches and its not clear what controls what. And the fireplace ran out of fuel but we didnt contact anyone as we were only there for 2 nights. Wish we couldve stayed longer!」

「Hotel Búrfell had incredible views and a scenic location. It was close to Dyrhólaey and only about 15 minutes from Vík, which made it a convenient place to stay while exploring the area. The hotel itself was nothing fancy. The room was very simple, and the bathroom was basic, but it worked well for a short stay. 「Absolutely wonderful stay here - a lovely place with wonderful staff. Bathrooms are shared but there are a sufficient quantity to handle the demand. There was a restaurant that serves excellent food and a nice lounge where we had drinks. Room was lovely and clean. There was a nice continental breakfast.」

「Leider waren wir sehr enttäuscht von der Unterkunft. Das war mit Abstand die schlechteste Unterkunft die wir in unseren 11 Tagen Island hatten und wir waren zum glück nur eine nacht dort. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt überhaupt nicht. Die ganze Unterkunft ist in die Jahre gekommen und die Bäder sind zwar sauber aber abgesehen davon eine Zumutung...」

「I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel! Hosts were kind and welcoming, room was cozy and kitchenette was well equipped. They offered us welcome treats and board games were also available. I can definitely recommend to stay this place for several nights. Only thing you should be aware of is, that there’s no restaurants or shops nearby. You must bring your own food.」
