Au bord de l'eau Chalet near Montreal 15 min Airport
10/10 Excellent
"This is a beautiful place in a lovely get away location! Lots of space for lots of people to gather in both the indoor open space kitchen living room/dinning room area and/or outside on the deck. The kitchen was the most well supplied kitchen I have seen thus far. The hosts are friendly, available, very kind and generous. The beds are comfortable. The location is wonderful for being away from it all and connecting with whomever you are gathering with. With grocery stores and malls etc. a very short drive away. It is a far drive (including traffic) into the city of Montreal but still accessible if you just want to go in for a day trip. There are many lovely nature and park type things to see out in this area. There is however a discrepancy with the bed situation - the overview page it shows 4 rooms and pictures of 5 beds plus one fold out couch. There are only 3 beds upstairs (1 king and 1 double, 1 queen crib) not sure why they say there is 1 King 2 doubles in bedroom 4? There are not 2 double beds just a king. The fold out couch is on the mail level in a space that is very private with sliding doors. Also there is not a hot tub. There is a bath tub outside on the deck but there is no hot tub with jets etc. that one typically thinks of when the word hot tub is used. But as long as the number of beds works for you I highly recommend this place. It is truly spectacular located on a lovely water front. The owners even offer to take you out on a motor boat ride if you like."
"Sheets and bedding dirty. Stained. Lots of ants in the bathroom. Table nasty. Front door disgusting. Hair dryer didn’t work. Sink and shower hear rusty and moldy. It used to be a great place but it’s slowing getting used, not kept up. Gross"
"Je ne conseille pas cet établissement. Ce n’est pas un hotel mis plutot un motel miteux. Mal propre, plein de petites bétites partout et les murs très mal isolé."
"We had an amazing stay here during the weekend of the Canadian Grand Prix. At first we were unsure about staying a bit outside the city, but honestly it ended up being the perfect decision. For the price of a small hotel room in Montreal, we got an entire peaceful getaway surrounded by nature. The property had everything we could ask for: a beautiful deck by the lake, spa, fire pit with wood ready to use, BBQ, lots of outdoor space for the kids to play, and such a relaxing atmosphere after spending the day at the race. It really felt like the best of both worlds — exciting days in the city and quiet evenings in the woods with family. The drive into Montreal was completely manageable, and coming back to a calm, cozy cottage instead of a crowded hotel made the whole trip much more enjoyable. In our opinion, this place is honestly underrated. If you’re visiting for the Grand Prix, especially with family or kids, this is exactly the kind of stay you want.Would absolutely come back again."
