Expensive for what you get
We were very disappointed by this property. I would not have booked at this price had I known the state it. From before we left it didn't go well. I received an email for the final payment at 4am our time the night before check-in and they emailed several more times, threatening to cancel, before I had even woke to check email. Upon arrival we could NOT find it. When you look up the address on Google Maps it sends you to what we later discovered was the back of the building. Of course, Venice is a maze of tiny streets and passages. We had to call several times for help on how to find the place and the person "helping" us was almost useless. It took about an hour, with the check in person refusing to meet us to escort us to the place, before we finally found it. We had had a very long travel day, with two cranky kids in tow, and were extremely frustrated. If you have an apartment this hidden you need to at least provide a map! It seemed like the phone contact wasn't actually local. We finally made it and hauled our luggage up the two flights of stairs (not advertised and there was an elevator... out of order) only to discover that this apartment was very bare bones. The floors have big dents in them (ouch!). The beds were uncomfortable/saggy. There is no living room/common area space. The kitchen table seems ready to collapse. And the worst: the electrical outlets caused my phone to electrocute me. Also, EXTREMELY loud during the day! We canceled our 2nd booking here.
