The room was clean and comfortable. There is no staff at night, which is fine, but they left a letter for us stating breakfast went until 10:30, but when we arrived at 10, they said breakfast is over at 10, and checkout is at 10 too! Checkout time is not posted anywhere and I couldn’t even find it on google so that was an unpleasant surprise!
Beautiful rooms with modern bathroom. Lack communication and there were none present. No information on breakfast times, had to call and was told someone was on their way. Lack of empathy and basic customer service skills .
We had a great stay at Ca Amadi. it's right on a canal, overlooking a popular gondola route. Loved staying in this historical but nicely restored building (we were told that it belonged to the family of Marco Polo long time ago). Our room was very large, had good AC and nice conveniences. The area is in close walking distance to many places of interest, and to public boats. The area is very busy with tourists, but our room was relatively quiet. We had a hard time finding the location when we first arrived; Google map just gave up at some point and we had to get a local to help us. Overall, it was a great place to stay for a couple of days of sightseeing, i would definitely recommend.
Our room was really spacious and nice! The neighboring apartment was super loud late at night, and we got very little information on check-in, so we had to figure some things out on our own. There were some water bottles under our bed, but the place was pretty clean. Amazing location and overall a good place!

Good location but needs updating
Location good, condition needs some work rooms very dark/cooking equipment old and needs updating no teaspoons. Only a stove top no microwave or oven. The pictures on the website are obviously a few years old.
This was one of my favorite hotels I have ever stayed at. It is off the main roads of Venice so it is nice and quiet with a great view of a smaller canal which makes you really feel like you are in Venice. The hotel itself is very pretty and it feels like you are stepping into history. The room was clean and spacious. The staff was super sweet and gave us 6 suggestions for places to eat that were not the main tourist places and had amazing food. The staff was also very nice for they watched our suitcases after we checked out so we could walk around a bit before catching our train out. Amazing stay and will be where we stay when we return! 100/100!!!
The hotel receptionist was lovey.
The room was a economy court yard room so wasn’t expecting too much.
The room size was my main reason for booking this particular hotel.
The room size was good and as Expected.
There were a number of issues in the room. The door that gets you into the separate courtyard room wasn’t working properly not seeming to always lock behind you . The toilet seat In the room was broken which for us ladies when you sit on it and its slides is not very nice. The shower adjustment that holds the shower head was broken and has been repaired if I can say repaired with string wrapped round just holding it in place. The last thing was the air conditioning unit in the room it made an awful grinding noise but has to have it on or the room was too hot.
The bed was comfy firm mattress which I like and the Room was clean and tidy a bit worn and tired. But was ok. The toilet seat and shower head holder can be fixed so easily to make guests stays better it frustrates me that these things get left when guest pay good money to stay. I didn’t mention it during my stay as only there two nights and not in main hotel so apart from arriving and leaving we didn’t see any hotel staff.
We stayed for one night, and it was one of the best hotels we stayed at. The room is impressively clean.

Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Hard to find and difficult to check in, no one in reception, took a long time to answer a phone, number listed in Expedia is not right. Room was large luxurious and good. Cleanliness was a bit problematic, refrigerator with other people's food. Breakfast was good. Needs some more attention.
We stayed for 3 nights and had a lovely time at Ca'Amadi. The hotel is great, in a beautiful building and has everything you need. The breakfast was nothing special but was handy, especially on our last morning when we had to get up early. The hotel is right on a canal so we could watch the boats go by. The rooms were nice with very comfy beds. The location was great and very easy to explore venice from. There's nothing to fault - I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Thank you for your staying with us, we are very pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us.
Hope to see you again at our hotel.
Tucked away in a quaint and quiet courtyard not far from Rialto Bridge, Ca' Amadi is the perfect location and respite from the bustling streets of Venice. With its 800 year old history and modern amenities, we found it to strike a wonderful balance between the old and new worlds of Italy.
Gorgeous guesthouse with a boutique hotel feel. We stayed in the suite 102 with the canal view, and the room was beautiful! Had a great sleep and breakfast was good. Central location is perfect - you can walk everywhere. Would stay there again!
Amazing stay at the Ca'Amadi. The location is perfect --- near Rialto, in a back alley so far enough from the chaos of the tourists main streets and great windows in the reception that open on a small Chanal. The rooms are clean, comfortable and in proper Venetian style. The ceilings are also very high which makes it a prefer place. Svetlana, the girl at the reception is also extremely kind and helpful. We followed her tips on what to see in the town and we had a totally great time! I would stay again in this place and would surely reccomend it!
It is a little hard to find as are many things in Venice. Call the hotel and speak to them about how to find them BEFORE you set out. There are some landmarks that will help you but if you dont know where you are going for the first time --you need to really study up. Its down a winding alley way and hard to find. It is in a nice area though. Lots of steps to get up to the guesthouse so keep that in mind with heavy luggage.
Lovely property in a quiet area. Is currently under renovation on the outside which did not affect our stay.
Room was lovely, staff friendly and helpful.
Do not book this place as they are renovating without telling anyone and they do not care if you complain about it. Woken up at 8 am every morning which was constant.
Room mini bar was broken and so was many plug sockets within the room. No milk provided for tea until the final day.
Don't risk it there are better places nearby.

Dear Terry,
Thank you for the time you dedicated to leave a comment.
We regret to inform you that what you have written doesn't correspond to what is ascertained by the undersigned and the staff of the Hotel.
In these days we are trying to renovate some parts of our hotel in order to always be able to give our customers better service and we are sorry for any disturbance caused.
In any case, our workers never begin to work before 9 am, in order to protect our guests' rest.
It appears to us that you stayed 3 nights with us and the works were carried out only in one morning out of three, due to rain for several days. We have proposed a room change that you refused.
What about any extra requests, they must be made to the staff during your stay and not mentioning it in Your misleading opinion towards our guests.
Best regards

Wonderful Property!
Very clean and nice property. Communication was wonderful and easy. Rooms are clean, comfortable, and secure. The breakfast is an added bonus and very good. Great location as well.
We were a family of 5. Love the hot breakfast. Croissant almost as good as Paris. Bathroom amenities are Fragonard, which my Mom loves. Slippers for all of us - love hotel slippers! Room is elegant. Marco Polo stayed here in 13th century. Tony was the best- made sure our stay was comfortable. He was friendly, helpful and attentive. Very personalized service. Free wifi. I would stay here again!
Home of Marco Polo, how cool is that? The hotel was nice, only place in Italy we stayed at that truly had A/C to beat the summer heat and humidity. The breakfast buffet was amazing, there was staff available in the morning to make you coffee. When something was running low, they immediately refilled whatever it was (juice, yogurt, eggs, fruit, etc). Top notch, glad we stayed here.

Great location and rooms
Nice gem with great access to most things in Venice, just around the corner of Rialto bridge makes it easy to get in and out. When we were there they were renovating the facades and you have some stairs leading up to the front door, but rooms are spacious and really nice! breakfast good and the staff very nice and friendly. For the price, I would highly value this place!!

Outstanding !
Absolutely Amazing historical and luxurious hotel!
Half Hotel Half Guest House Ca Amadi is a very trusting, very relaxed and very well located place to stay in Venice. With part time staff on reception Guests see themselves in and out and are trusted to lock the front door, let themselves in plus leave money if they buy anything from the public areas. Rooms are cleaned daily to high order and the decor is traditional venitian and spaceous especially in the junior suites. Rialto Bridge is 2 minutes away and the nearest busy thoroughfare less than 30 seconds, yet the Hotel is quiet and relaxed with entry onto a side walkway, whilst overlooking a side canal just off the Grand Canal. I would recommend Ca Amadi as an excellent place to stay and would definitely stay their again.
