Great location and lots of space for relaxation

Lovely cottage in a large garden setting just minutes from the centre of the old town. Great facilities, including secure car parking, and great location. Had a very relaxing 5 night stay, exploring Uzes on foot and daytrips around Provence in the car. Host was very welcoming and keen to share tips on the local area. Would love to come back.

Maisonette très agréable et bien située

Un accueil chaleureux et un cadre très agréable. Le jardin ombragé avec ses petits coins pour profiter de l'extérieur ainsi que l'intérieur de l'habitation sont très agréables et chaleureux. Les hôtes également. Calme et à deux pas du centre. Nous recommandons. Attention toutefois aux enfants en bas âge car la piscine n'est pas sécurisée.

The internet was down for three of the five days we were there, so I had to spend 35 to buy more international data to hotspot. The property manager gave us two bottles of wine for our troubles. One of them had a broken cork and had turned and the other one was just OK. There is a lot of good wine available in the area, so it felt more like he was just giving away wine he didn’t want. He left us less than one full roll of toilet paper and a note said we would be charged for use of extra toiletries. It just felt petty and cheap after spending a good amount of money in the off season. The property is beautiful

Idyllic gem in Uzes

Uzes is a small, friendly, walkable town, perfectly situated for day trips to nearby Nimes, Arles, Avignon and the Pont du Gard. L' Ermitage served as an ideal self-service home for our two week stay in Uzes. The two story unit is quiet and comfortable, easy to drive to and best of all, has it’s own dedicated, gated parking space. This prime parking space is extremely convenient for any visitor on a road trip through Provence and eliminates the frustration of finding an elusive public parking space in a medieval town like Uzes. The house is set back from the road in a beautifully landscaped Mediterranean garden and is located within close walking distance to the town center, Place aux Herbes, Every cottage decorated room was well equipped and afforded a lovely view of the garden and guest swimming pool. Our host Nicolas and his mother were very gracious and attentive to our needs and answered all our questions in a timely manner. Staying at L’ Ermitage was the very best choice we could have made for our first and far-ranging visit to Provence. After each long day visiting Roman ruins, medieval towns, flamingos of the Camargue, or canoeing down under the Pont du Gard, we loved coming back to our home away from home, L’ Ermitage in Uzes. This lovely rustic cottage with all amenities, tucked away in a secret garden at the rear of a property just outside the pedestrian zone, makes an ideal base for visiting the beautiful medieval city of Uses. It's a short and very pleasant walk to all the cafes, restaurants, and fantastic weekly Farmers Market in the main square. Check in was seamless via a lockbox. Nicolas was most helpful, responding promptly to any questions, and I had the pleasure of meeting him while waiting for a taxi to take me to the Nimes Pont du Gard TGV. Uzes also makes a wonderful base for a visit to the magnificent Pont du Gard, which I reached via a 20 minute bus ride from the center of Uzes. A wonderful stay! Thank you, Nicolas.
