One practical note: I messaged twice through Hotels.com and once via their contact form to arrange a guide in advance and received no response. Once on site, they were happy to help immediately. If pre-arrival logistics matter to you, plan to sort them on arrival or find another channel. A wonderful, characterful base for one of the Yucatan's most rewarding stretches of territory."

"We stayed in 4 of these new hotels within 2 weeks. This one was empty and felt sad to be so forgotten and unused after a year. The hotel DESPERATELY NEEDS SIGNS ON THE ROAD. You have to call for directions. Google Maps is wrong and staff knows this. Unlike every other hotel, this was unmarked and we spent over an hour trying to navigate without a WiFi signal. The road to the hotel is long with blind spots. It will take 20 min from the road. Not sure who planned that absurd bike line but a two lane would feel safer. The price and pool, amenities staff are great but wow, but a sign on the road or send txts to guests like the others did. Food was best here. "
