Ivor and Rob were friendly hosts and easy to communicate with. The house was as expected and in a beautiful setting in the Takaka valley. The amenities were good. It may be good if the hosts invest in some new cushions for the couch for extra comfort as they were a bit worn, and some sharper knives would be useful in the kitchen. Thanks for having us!
Wonderful accommodation close the Able Tasman, beaches, caves, Farewell Spit, lots of interesting activities. The farm house is comfortable and well equipped. Kitchen is well oufitted, even shap knives! Beautiful deck for al fresco dining. Comfortable beds. Rob and Ivor are fabulous hosts willing to share a wealth of information about the area. The farm animals are fun to observe. An overall great stay.
A very well equipped, spacious farm cottage.
The owners were very friendly. We enjoyed the farm animals: Bob the dog, sheep, hens.
Nice environment for a family.

Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, location
Disliked: Listing accuracy
Nice but not all we expected
The property was lovely and we had a nice stay but the description of the property is not accurate. It is no longer a working deer farm (much to the disappoint of our kids) and you can’t walk around the property and up through the forest (much to the disappointment of my kids). All in all would recommend still.
Had fantastic time. The hosts, Ivor & Rob were really helpful and made our stay a total treat. So many things to do in the area and then relax with a beer with the deer in the afternoon. Highly recommend staying here :)
This is a lovely peacful place, Ivor & Robyn were very helpful giving us advice of where to visit while we were in the area. The bach was very well equipped and if you needed anything you just had to ask. I would recommend this to my freinds and family and would book it again if we come to New Zealand.
Thank you
Michael & Teresa Armes
This was perfect for our small family that dont really want to be in the hustle and bustle of the main areas but close enough to commute easily.
Very comfy and nice outlook onto the valley and farm animals.
Owners are helpful and friendly.
Even though we had to leave a day earlier than expected to help out a friend stuck after a cancelled flight out of Takaka, we enjoyed the location and property, with a good vibe and plenty of space. Robyn and Ivor were great hosts.
Do be aware that there are cockerels on the farm so you might have some early wake-up calls - it is a farmstay after all. The chickens roam around so might be close to the bedrooms sometimes. The highway is also nearby but we had no noise worries from that and it makes it very easy to just pop down the drive and head out into the region on adventures.
When it came to cleaning up, it was good to find a decent quality vacuum cleaner in the cupboard - little things like that help and it's a useful time saver.
A little gem. Nice hosts, cute goats, ducks, turkeys, chickens and dogs. Too rural to have Vodafone coverage, but Spark works like a charm!

Clean and comfortable.
It was a bit farther from Takaka and I feel the owners should put in the listing that it is 20kms before. Kitchen knives need to be sharpened so they are useable. Friendly dogs and animals. Quite lovely.

Very clean and tidy.
Very clean and tidy. Nice location on farm land, very pleasant sitting out on the sunny deck in the evening. Would come stay again. Probably better suited for a group of 4 though we were comfortable enough in our group of 6.

The location was only 20 min.
The location was only 20 min. from Takaka township. Easy access to everything. If I knew how much there was to do, I would of stayed more than 2 days.
