"So much to say: first off there was no indication from Expedia that this hotel was located on the 4th floor of a hospital! You have to pay for parking per hour. Our room had only 3 bath towels (we had a family of 5, with room accommodating up to 6 people). When the water wouldn’t get cold to fill our water bottles we went to the fountain and it was out of service. We went to the ice machine and it wasn’t working. Went to raise the blinks when we arrived and a big metal thing landed on my hand. AC was blasting and the blankets were paper thin. "

"Limited staff to keep hotel halls and bathrooms clean. Limited wait staff on beach caused delays in ordering food. "

"We stayed at Royal Sonesta San Juan for a milestone birthday and had a great experience. Our room overlooked the pool, was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The breakfast staff and pool service were phenomenal, and the drinks across the bars were consistently good, which made it easy to enjoy the property without leaving. Front desk staff was professional and efficient, just more direct than warm. Lester, our concierge, really stood out. He helped us secure a last minute rental car and gave us great guidance on exploring the island safely. Overall, this is a clean, well located resort with strong service where it counts. We would definitely book again."

"Spa staff and service was excellent. Our room was not ready at 4:30 when we checked in. We were told we would receive a text message when it was ready. After waiting another hour 1/2 no text message was received. Went back to lobby only to find out the room was ready. No apologies was offered. "

"Worst place ever. Mold everywhere, no communication and they paint the mold over. Roof leaking my lungs were hurting because we couldn’t breathe after being there an hour."

"Upon check in, no electricity/no power.I asked when will the power be back on, I was expecting some kind of backup generator to turn on the power, but the Hotel attendant said there is no expected time of when the power would return. I was not offered a refund or any accommodations and I was expected to just wait until the power comes back on. The hotel is not suitable for any one to stay under these conditions and its clear the hotel barely cares to help the customers. They just want money. Also door codes to the room were announced aloud to the lobby and guests, Nothing about the exchange of door access codes felt secure. "
