A wheelchair lift allows wheelchair users to easily access the rooftop terrace, where you can enjoy sweeping views of the natural surroundings. From there, you can access the apartment, where you’ll find plenty of space to move around independently, whether using walking aids or a wheelchair. Whether in a double bed or a nursing bed, you have the option to choose the accommodations that best suit your needs. The bathroom offers ample space for showering, and the toilet is also adapted to meet your needs. The spacious kitchen is equipped with everything you need for cooking. Alternatively, a gas grill is available for your use. The living room features a dining and living area with cable TV. Wi-Fi is available free of charge throughout the building. The rooftop terrace is a perfect spot to relax. You can park your car right next to the building, and bicycles can be secured under the rooftop terrace, protected from the weather. The apartment is centrally located within the triangle formed by the county seats of Nordhorn, Meppen, and Lingen, as well as Haren (EMS) and Emmen in the Netherlands. All of these towns are about a 30-minute drive away. You can also plan beautiful day trips by bike, following well-maintained and signposted paths through nature reserves and scenic landscapes. There are benches and cafes along all the routes where you can rest and linger. Right in town, everything you need for daily life is within walking distance. A doctor’s office and a dentist’s office are located on the same street. A playground, a swimming lake, and a horse farm are about 2 km from the apartment. There is a Center Parcs in Haren-Dankern. The Moor Museum in Groß Hesepe is open year-round and provides information about the origins of the settlements in the moor and the development of these areas. The Bourtanger Moor nature reserve, located just across the German border, is a reclaimed moorland area that can be explored by bike or on foot. It covers well over 100 hectares. In Klasinaveen, you can also rent e-bikes and shopping bikes and ride into the area from there. You can enjoy a cup of coffee at various spots throughout the Bourtanger Moor. Other attractions include a bouldering gym in Lingen, as well as the Meyer shipyard and the old harbor in Papenburg. For families with small children, the Nordhorn Zoo offers a quiet and relaxing day out. Here, you can see various native and heritage animal breeds. All along the trails and in the villages, you’ll find small kiosks selling eggs, potatoes, coffee, snacks, and more. There are also many other things to do.
