Upon arrival we we greeted & shown to our room. The room was excellent, very spacious and clean, just what we wanted. After a good nights sleep we had breakfast in the bar and was pleasantly surprised to find that we had a choice of breakfast, we ordered a full English and avocado on toast with poached eggs & bacon. The food was cooked to perfection and was thoroughly enjoyed. The staff were really friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome. I would highly recommend the Victoria In. Location great too with a bus stop outside if you don’t want to drive and a co-op next door for essentials.

Visited this venue several times before and always had excellent meals and service. Stayed overnight for the first time and would certainly do so again. Room spotless and very comfortable and excellent breakfast, and again staff superb. Thank you so much.

Would stay again

Last-minute stay, just for one night, but would stay again. Both dinner in the restaurant and breakfast in the morning were delicious. I only rated 4* on comfort, as I'd have liked an extra pillow. But overall, it was a lovely stay. Co-op located next door and the park and ride is a stone's throw away which links to the railway etc

Zimmer und Dusche waren extrem klein. Es gab keinen Platz für einen Stuhl, Schrank oder Tisch. Eine Klimaanlage war nicht vorhanden. Frischluftzufuhr war nur über ein Fenster, dass sich hinter dem Bett befand, möglich. Sehr gut war das im Preis inbegriffene Frühstück a la Carte. Die Mitarbeiter/innen. waren sehr freundlich.

Cornish haven

Lovely pub/restaurant with small accommodation, ideal if out and about all day and to come back and have a good choice of food or carvery! Wash down with a well selected bar of drinks . Staff were ever so helpful and service was fantastic! Highly recommend a stay here as a good base to venture off to different places of cornwall.

Having spent years staying in National chain hotels this pub was exceptional & a breath of fresh air. Friendly helpful staff, comfortable bed & clean on suite rooms. Breakfast was probably the best freshly cooked that I've ever had. 5* for me. I would definitely recommend.

Contradictory information

Booked the Victoria Inn through Hotel.com for Friday after Boxing Day for 1 x night as travelling from Torquay to visit family. The booking process was easy however everything went pearshaped when we needed to cancel due to catching flu virus over xmas. Called the Victoria on the day to inform them. Member of staff was really sympathetic and spoke to duty managerand was informed that they would put it on the system and i needed to cancel through Hotel.com but as a note was made they would refund cost of stay. Informed Hotel.com and explained situation. I am now receiving contradictory information from both the Victoria and Hotel.com. Hotel.com stating the Victoria will not refund and the Victoria stating that Hotel.com need to contact them in order for refund to be made. I have saved all emails from both parties and cannot believe that such a simple request is now a task. Please both sort it out between you and refund my aborted stay.
