"Silvermine House is amazing! An ideal house for our family group of 5 adults and 3 teenage boys. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, and multiple places to gather and relax. The house seems isolated but is only 5 or 10 minutes from restaurants and shopping. The views are stunning! Sonya and Paul are wonderful hosts, who provided everything we needed. It's a long trip from the US to Cornwall, but Silvermine House was worth every mile of it!"

"Such a lovely little holiday home, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Teg is literally in the middle of nowhere, blink and you’ll miss the turning so make sure you read your email directions. We didn’t! We followed the sites postcode directions which aren’t specific enough. "We checked in to the hotel and were taken to our room, the stairs up to the room were filthy with stains and marks all over. We arrived at our room and the member of staff read out the code for our room out loud in the corridor, so anyone that overheard could have had access to our room. We stayed for about 5 minutes before checking straight back out again, as the room was beyond filthy. There were bits of dirt all over the carpet, and the teaspoon that had been left on the side for us to use for tea/coffee had a dried coffee stain on it, so obviously hadn’t been changed over since the last guests. We booked the room because it was cheap and in a good location, and the reviews seemed good. However, the hotel is awful and I wouldn’t recommend anyone stays here the lack of cleanliness is beyond belief. Avoid this hotel and don’t be fooled by the positive reviews. "
