The Wee White Cottage on Tripp Lake in Poland, Maine.

"I had a fabulous stay at the Wee White Cottage. It was peaceful, the lake was beautiful, and the host was very kind and accommodating. There are lots of lovely woodland trails within easy driving distance, or you can just while away your time on the dock enjoying the serene scenery. Kayaks are available, which is also great fun! WiFi connectivity is good, making is possible to stay in touch with family back home, stream movies in the evening etc, if you wish to. Highly recommend!"

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our 4th year and our location on the lake was perfect. The house furniture (inside and outside) could use some freshening up. Otherwise it was a great vacation."

"The house was very comfortable and spacious for our crew that consisted of our 3 daughters, 2 sons in law and 2 grandchildren. The kitchen was well equipped. Being right on the lake was a plus and there was a canoe, a kayak and a standup paddle board for our use."

"We had a wonderful long weekend with family at Christy Joe’s. The house is fantastic and beautifully maintained. It had everything we needed and was close to all sorts of activities. We appreciated so many thoughtful touches, including a bag of treats left for us. The hosts were very attentive and checked in with after we arrived to see if we needed anything. We would highly recommend Christy Joe’s place in Poland!"

"We stayed for a month at this lakeside cottage and overall had a very enjoyable experience. The standout feature is its excellent lakefront location, just steps from the water, offering beautiful views and stunning sunsets, along with a well-maintained dock. Inside, the cottage is clean, offers comfortable sofas and beds. A big screen supported with Wi‑Fi, provides very good internet and cell phone service. The well equipped kitchen and convenient, new washer and dryer facilitated our longer stay. The location is also very practical, with nearby grocery store, restaurants, golf courses, and casino. There is easy access to the wider lakes region, as well as Brunswick, Freeport and Portland. The owner proved to be very responsive to attending to some minor repair issues. Finally, although quite close to neighbouring cottages, no noise issues at all. Downsides include difficult lake access for swimming and some noticeable road noise from Route 11. The sleeping setup may also be challenging, with a narrow spiral staircase to the lower second bedroom and a bunkhouse without a bathroom.Despite these drawbacks, we found the positives outweighed the negatives. If you’re looking for a comfortable, well-equipped lakefront cottage with exceptional views, beautiful sunsets, and a convenient location, this property is an excellent choice—provided you’re comfortable with the lake access and the unique bedroom layout."

"This glamping cabin was everything we hoped for and more! Cozy, romantic, and clean. The outdoor kitchen had all the essentials, the private hot tub was amazing, and watching the sunrise and sunset from the deck felt magical. We roasted marshmallows by the fire pit overlooking the water and felt totally tucked away from the world yet the grocery store and casino were just minutes away. The perfect mix of peace, fun, and luxury. Can’t wait to come back!"
