"We booked this stay at the last minute due to an unexpected visit to see a sick relative, and we couldn’t have been more pleased. The photos truly don’t do this place justice—everything was fresh, clean, and beautifully updated.The living area was especially impressive, featuring a spacious, oversized sofa and a large smart TV with access to all the major streaming services—perfect for relaxing in the evenings. The beds were very comfortable, and we appreciated the individual bedroom air conditioning units. It was ideal for our group, as I tend to get warm while my 89-year-old in-laws prefer things cooler.Located close to the lake, this home is a perfect spot for anyone looking to enjoy the area. Melissa, our host, was wonderful—she responded promptly to every question and made the entire experience seamless.We can’t wait to return soon. Highly recommended!"

"This particular Microtel was clean, comfortable, and convenient and the hotel staff was very friendly and accessible. We would stay here again when in the area. . Definitely recommend keeping the second lock on the door at all times because despite the "do not disturb" sign hanging on the knob, housekeeping let themselves in without knocking. Never had that happen before. "

"We had an amazing stay at this cabin. The location on the river was beautiful and our kids did not hesitate to jump in and wade in the river as soon as we arrived. We took advantage of the beautiful surroundings and did several hikes in the area. Our first morning we walked just down the road to see the cute waterfall. The location of the cabin is great. The town of Northville is close by and has several places to eat and some stores for any necessities you may have forgotten. The kitchen was well stocked and we enjoyed making dinner one night and having leisurely breakfasts each morning. Sipping our coffee and tea out on the screened in porch was the best part of everyday. The sound of the river flowing by is so relaxing. We spent the first part of our week hopping from hotel to hotel as we toured colleges in the region, so coming to the cabin for a few days at the end of the week was so welcomed. It really was a wonderful way to relax and recharge in beautiful surroundings. "

Let me not forget to mention the rooms are cozy, impeccable and lovely decorated by Ginny who is true artist. I do plan on visiting this area of the Adirondacks again and the Balsams will be base camp when exploring this beautiful area. "
