"This lodge is hands down one of the best places I’ve ever stayed in all my years of travel. From the moment I arrived, the staff was friendly and incredibly helpful. The pickup from the small airport was seamless and really eased the anxiety of arriving in a new, unfamiliar place. The pool was a highlight, with a perfect temperature and a unique design that overlooks the water—truly stunning. My room had tasteful, colorful decor and featured some fun outdoor furniture, giving it a lively, tropical vibe. It was also impeccably clean, which can be challenging in a tropical environment, but the staff does an excellent job maintaining it. Another thoughtful touch was the umbrellas provided in each room, a lifesaver in a place where it rains so often. Fun benefit - the sound of howler monkeys in the mornings made the experience quite special. The room was also incredibly quiet, ensuring I had great sleep each night. Getting into town was super easy with the water taxi service. All in all, I had an amazing stay and would highly recommend this place to anyone!"

"This is a little gem of a place. The rooms are basic but comfortable, the foods limited but for where you are, this is not surprising. The wildlife & staff really made it. The staff where really accommodating. In a two night stay in the property's gardens we saw, lots of iguana's, tocan's, green macaw's & a howler monkey. On the beach, we saw baby leatherback turtles & on a paid trek, green turtles nesting. "

"We were upgraded to a bungalow which looked great and was extremely spacious. We felt like we were staying in the middle of the jungle. Pool area was lovely with loads of wildlife. Only downside was that the shower lacked any power."

"Our stay at The Caribbean Paradise lodge was very pleasant, the staff goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. The grounds are very clean , lots of wildlife you can hear and see. It is 10 minutes away from Tortuguero village by taxi boat, but the staff is always ready to help with that. There is no AC but the fan in the room was sufficient and we had comfortable nights and slept well enjoying the sounds of nature . The breakfast was included and is an open buffet, you can arrange to buy lunch and dinner which are made on the property . We would love to go again . "

"Tortuguero is such a cute town! We weren’t sure we wanted to make the drive but we loved it. The boat ride from La Pavona is beautiful and the town is great for walking around and shopping. We took a guided night hike and saw a turtle laying eggs on the beach! The staff were very nice and helpful and the air conditioning in the rooms was nice. Only stayed one night but loved it!"

"Convenient location right in the main town of Tortugero feeling like a local. Direct walking distance to the many eateries and shops plus a few steps from the beach side. Access to the National Park without boating in/out. Arrival and check-in can be confusing with many individuals at various steps but just be ready to tell them where you’re staying and who you’re looking for. Quaint home is well equipped and all the comforts as described."
