We were away for just a couple of days, and choice of accommodation was perfect. It was spotlessly clean, near to the front at Torquay and the owners were very helpful and friendly.

Clean, comfy, quiet and airy (flat 4)

Hosts met us on arrival and always on hand to help. flat very clean and comfy. Easy parking. Local shops close by and seafront a short walk through the abbey grounds. For us... perfect.

Good room and clean, we had appartment no 4. Problem was the railway line 30 foot from the bedroom window and the track and train was at the same level as the bedroom window. Unfortunately no reference was made about the train at the time of booking neither , neither when I phoned the owners.

No Heat or Hot Water in Toilet Room

The apartment was spacious and conveniently located close to the Torquay train station. However, it wasn’t without problems. There was no heat in the kitchen. The toilet was not in the room with the shower and was located all the way on the opposite end of where the bedroom was and it had no heat or hot water in the toilet room. The outside temperature was 53 F and rainy so it was not pleasant to use the toilet in a freezing room and sit on an ice cold toilet seat. Then you had to wash your hands in ice cold water. Also, I wasn’t thrilled to have to put pound coins in the electric meter. We froze most of the 4 days we were there.

Could not be better. Our checkin which was permitted to be early included an orientation of Torquay and the neighbourhood and was friendly and welcoming. Very spacious unit with kitchen efficiencies. Combination living room and kitchen had high ceilings and two large windows which made the room bright and welcoming with a view over a green. Private en-suite washroom to the bedroom was spotless clean. The bed was comfortable. We stayed just two days, we could have stayed in a week or more easily. We would certainly return or recommend this accommodation. S&S - Canada

The flats are in an old house, all individual rather than a generic block. The whole property is welcomong and simply, but nicely decorated.

Very clean. Proprietors were lovely: easy location to train station if you are travelling by car. Very close proximity to the sea front. Local shops close by. Good for the cost also. Hope to stay again soon.

The place to stay in Torquay!

What a gem of a place! From the moment we arrived until this morning when we left everything was superb. The owners, Hedley & Clair are wonderful, and keep a spotless house. Our apartment was excellent, and the welcome package was a very nice touch. Would we stay here again? Absolutely! Many thanks for making our stay such a pleasant one.

ideal location the beach 1/4 mile away & town centre 3/4 mile away & if walking is not your thing the bus stop is right out side, the flat was very good it was light & spacious & well equipped, if arriving by car there is plenty of parking either at the property or the nearby car park. The owners are all ways on hand but don't impose & are very friendly .
