"I cannot recommend this property highly enough! It's a secluded retreat nestled in the jungle, just steps away from what felt like our own private beach. We stayed in the air-conditioned couple's suite, featuring a cozy queen bed, a modern and fully stocked kitchen, and a bathroom with a spacious vanity and shower. The suite also has a small patio near the front door, equipped with two loungers and a brand-new gas BBQ—perfect for grilling evening meals. (Tip: Make sure to stock up on groceries in San Antonio or Mariato, as Torio does not have a market.) For a small fee, we enjoyed breakfast each morning with our wonderful hosts, Lyne and Michael Heim. These meals often turned into lively conversations that felt like solving the world's problems—we genuinely consider them great friends now. Although we only stayed for three days, we wished we had known how exceptional their place is, as we would have loved a longer stay. Make sure to message the hosts prior to arrival, as I forgot, and their location can be tricky to find."

"First and foremost, this rental location is remote - BUT our host Asta provided us with very detailed directions from where we were coming from and followed up with us to make sure we arrived safely. The pictures of this property do not do it justice . . . everything is SO MUCH nicer and prettier! Asta also checked in with us to see how we were doing a day after we arrived and if we needed anything. We thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet of this location - the patio and pool area is amazing! We spent all our time outdoors. We loved using the patio grill and all the kitchen appliances. We only left the property 2 times during our 10 day stay to get more provisions and to go to local restaurants to eat. This is one of the best VRBOs - and host - that we've ever experienced! "

"The online 1-star rating is not really justified. Although basic, this place is worth the $55 fee. The Hotels.com experience is to be avoided, they overcharged on the rate. The room was basic, the bed below average, but seeing the many species and number of sea birds in the early morning is a treat. The dirt driveway to the site is a biet of a pain."

"The seclusion, beauty and privacy of Michael and Lyne's property is second to none. It is simple an amazing and secure place with tons of activities in the area. They are awesome hosts and invited us to participate in many of their activities - including turtle nest hunting and incubation...;) and some 4wd exploring through the many acres of this beautiful area - with spectacular views and wildlife (Cayman, Birds, Monkeys, Turtles, etc..). We are very thankful they make this beautiful property and experience available. We will most definitely be back. Thank you Michael and Lyne!!!"

"Our trip was so much fun, thank you Michael and Lyne!! My wife, 7 yr old son and I had the best time here!! The studio suite was perfect for us with a very comfortable king bed and twin bed for our son. Lots of space to set our luggage and settle in for our 7 night stay. The bathroom was spacious and everything was so clean. The entire living space is wonderful and very comfortable!! We had all we needed with the kitchenette and grill to cook several great meals on the deck. Michael and Lyne are exceptional hosts! They are very welcoming, friendly, accomodating and took the time to recommend things to do in the area as well as tell us about the wildlife around their house. Absolutely great people!! The beach is beautiful and we had it all to ourselves every day! No resort hotels, no high rise condos… just palm trees, sand and the ocean, absolutely amazing!! We enjoyed fun on the beach, boogie boarding the waves, swimming in the jungle surrounded pool, and eating dinners with the backdrop of crashing waves!! All of the wildlife around the house was a plus, we enjoyed watching the Capuchin monkeys jumping through the trees and snacking on their lunch!! It was so much fun being so immersed in nature but having first rate amenities at the same time!! Torio was a nice little town with some good restaurants and almost everywhere you look the scenery is gorgeous!! This place truly is a most peaceful and very relaxing place to spend time with family! I 10/10 recommend this place!"
