"Property is high up a mountain secluded. I did not get the chance to explore the area so I'm not sure if there's other options in, but our option was thru a taxi. Definitely would have to drive up to get up there. The facilities had a fantastic view. The hotel also had a spacious onsen, very well equipped. "I had a 3 days / 2 night half board stay. We had a great room with a great view of Matsushima Bay. The room is large with a personal onsen in which we can soak our tired bodies as much and as long as possible. However, as this is a small hotel, the 3 public onsen is not crowded and you can spent alot of 'me' time enjoying the hot soak. Beside the good onsen, the food is super great as we had: - 9 course refined Japanese dinner with fresh sashimi and hot pot - 7 course refined Japanese breakfast...

"I would highly recommend this ryokan. They were able to provide me with vegan meals, made for myself only. The owners and all staff were friendly and kind. The staff serving out meals were so bubbly and happy! There are many different onsen in this ryokan too. A sauna onsen, a foot onsen, a women's only onsen, a mixed onsen and 3 private onsen (2 of which are on the 4th floor so very nice to watch the sunrise/sunset).
