I recently stayed at Remm Akihabara in Tokyo for 7 nights and absolutely loved it. The hotel's proximity to Akihabara Station makes it incredibly convenient, and it's centrally located among all the exciting shopping stores. The staff were very friendly and spoke English, which made my stay even more comfortable. The place was very clean and boasted a modern minimalistic look, which I really appreciated. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I highly recommend it for anyone visiting Tokyo.

Perfect spot if you want to get around Akihabara. Close to the JR station and Yodabashi (electronics department store that closes 10pm), plus many restaurants and stores. Hotel is stylish and clean, setting it apart from most budget hotels here. Friendly and helpful staff with good English. The room is relatively big and comes with a small massage chair. Shower stall instead of a tub, but it is spacious and comes with two shower heads. It has the best noise insulation by far, you can absolutely hear no train noise despite being just next to it. Recommended.

The REMM Akihabara is a great location for metro and easy access to Haneda and Narita airports. The rooms are small, but we booked two singles for a father/daughter trip. With jet lag, it was great—we had our own space. The hotel is clean, has four washer/dryers, friendly staff, and again about as central as you can get. We focused on anime/manga/electronics/games but the hotel is a short ride away from Shinjuku, Asakusa, Ueno. Go for the breakfast prepaid, which is served in the Portals restaurant. I hate buffets, and the restaurant has six breakfast menus to include Japanese, scrambled eggs, roast beef, fried eggs….interesting hot dog on scrambled eggs, and cups of soup, and nice pancakes. In short, great value. Ask for room on higher floors for great views.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel, and I would definitely stay again. Some things of note however: - In the room I stayed in, the bathroom has a glass wall that allows full view of the rest of the room, which may be uncomfortable for some travelling in groups. I travelled alone so it did not affect me other than it seeming a bit quirky. Just keep your curtains closed and it won't be an issue. - There didn't seem to be any working ice machines during my stay. - The elevators are very mildly inconvenient due to the nature of the property. Of the 3 elevators, 1 elevator only serves the ground floor and hotel lobby, the 2nd serves every floor, and the third goes from the hotel lobby to all of the other suites. If you are in and out of the hotel a lot, it can feel a bit tedious waiting for the right elevator, but it's better than climbing stairs.

Great hotel for solo travelers. The hotel is right outside the JR train station and was easy to get around Tokyo. Shopping and dining are nearby. The hotel staff speaks English and is helpful. Room was small and is a little worn, but that was expected with a three-star hotel. It was like a dorm room. I put my suitcase on the massage chair and had plenty of space. I was on the 15th floor and had a great view of the Tokyo Sky Tower. The shower was great. Also, the laundry machine was great. It washed and dried in one cycle and I could monitor the time from my room on the tv. I would stay at this hotel again.
